Not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You won’t hear the bass consistently throughout the whole song, since it has a very short phase signal. So, if certain parts of the song don’t “qualify” to be played through the sub, you simply won’t hear them — which is really annoying. I already spoke with one of the Sonos chat representatives, and their solution was to connect the system to the extender router. The main purpose of having a $2,000 modern wireless sound system is to minimize the number of cables needed. By the way, when the bass does play, it doesn’t sound any richer than Bose. Will turn it back.

Sonos Mini Sub
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Sub Mini is the perfect addition to a smaller room or bedroom setup. I paired it with my Sonos Beam and two Era 100s, and it completely transformed the sound. The design is sleek and compact, and the packaging and setup were just as easy and premium as the rest of the Sonos lineup. Within minutes it was connected and tuned through the Sonos app. The bass is deep, clean, and punchy without being overpowering. It adds so much more depth to movies, TV, and music, making everything feel fuller and more immersive. If you’re on the fence about adding a subwoofer to a Beam or smaller Sonos system, don’t be — the Sub Mini is 100% worth it. It takes an already great system and makes it sound amazing.

Impressive
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an Arc, and two Era 100 as surrounds along with my LG 55 in my home office. Although the arc is impressive, I felt the lack of bass below 100hz. So, I read up on whether to pair the Arc with the Gen 3 sub or the sub mini. Online audiophiles recommended that you answer two questions: 1) Size of room and 2) do you want to rattle your neighbors and feel it in your chest. Since my room wasnt large (eg <300’ sq) and i didnt want to disturb my neghbors (or wife) i chose the sub mini. I’m very happy with my choice. After running Truplay set up, the sub adds in the bottom end nicely, filling in the whole in the Arc, to a well balanced signal down to 25hz for movie soundtracks as well as classical symphony. Nice flatline from 25hz on up. Now, that said, i did experiment further and found the sub mini to also be very impressive when i wanted to watch an action film like “Extraction” with cinema quality, heart throbbing bass (& my wife’s out of the house and my neighbors are gone)… I simply go into the Sonos settings and turn up the sub volume +5 to + 7 (out of +15) and you get all the oomph of chest pounding bass you’d expect from a sub. Im thrilled - particularly for not shelling out the extra $400 for the gen3 full sub. Clearly not needed in my scenario. YMMV.

Best addition to the sonos ultra arc soundbar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Adding the Sonos Sub 4 to my already excellent Sonos Arc Ultra has completely elevated my listening experience. The Arc Ultra provides the incredible 9.1.4 Dolby Atmos immersion and crystal-clear dialogue, while the Sub 4 handles the bass with spectacular, distortion-free depth. The Sub 4 doesn't just add bass; it frees the Arc to focus on mids and highs, resulting in a richer, fuller, and more detailed soundstage that truly shakes the room during action scenes. Setup was instant through the Sonos app, and the sleek design of both units looks fantastic under the TV. This combination is a premium audio investment that delivers professional-grade, cinematic sound right into your living room.

Top line mini sub - Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos mini sub is a great addition to any Sonos soundbar! I went in to Best Buy to determine if I wanted the Sonos Sub 4 or Sonos Mini Sub. Was able to do demonstration on sound bars audio with the subs on bass and both sound very alike and not much different depending on size of room to be used in. I went with the Sonos mini sub since it was a lot less on the pocket but the Sonos Mini still was powerful enough to the room I got to setup in. Overall the Sonos Sub mini is a must buy for the price! I highly recommend this product. Especially when it is on-sale during the Black Friday Sale.

Small sub big sound
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently added the Sonos Mini Sub to my home setup, and it completely changed the way my system sounds. Don’t let the size fool you — this thing delivers deep, rich bass that fills the room without ever sounding muddy or overpowering. It pairs effortlessly with my Sonos speakers, and the setup through the app took less than five minutes. Movies hit harder, music sounds fuller, and even low-volume listening has that warm, balanced punch. It’s also surprisingly compact — it fits neatly beside my TV stand and blends in perfectly with my space. If you’re looking to upgrade your Sonos setup without taking up much room, the Mini Sub is 100% worth it. You get that true Sonos sound quality in a smaller, more affordable package.

Sonos Sub 4
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you already have a pre-existing Sonos sound bar, adding the sub 4 will elevate your movie watching experience with refined bass. And if you wanna crank up the bass you can do that through the Sonos app and create a room shaking experience. If one sub four is not enough, you can have the flexibility to have two in that experience alone is worth paying for it. In my opinion if you’re really into watching big Blockbuster movies at home.

Near perfection for a cinematic experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this Sub 4 from a Mini and it has been super interesting comparing the two. Before I dive into that here’s the pros and cons for the Sub 4, generally: Pros: >Incredible room-filling cinematic bass >Relatively compact size, easy to stash behind a couch or next to a media stand >Effective laid flat or standing up >App works well and offers EQ settings Cons: >The price Who is this for? Anyone with an existing Sonos system that wants the best possible cinematic sound. Mine is paired with an Arc Ultra and two Era 100s for surround. I think that’s ideal for a medium-sized room. What’s the difference between this and the mini? The bass from the mini you hear. The bass from the Sub 4 you feel. It doesn’t sound “bass-y” at all. It feels the closest to being in a movie theatre. The bass, even turned up to the max, is just “there.” It surrounds you and adds impact all sorts of media. The mini you heard the bass. It’s still good, but it won’t make your chest vibrate. It sounded like a subwoofer. The Sub 4 is a different experience. Is it worth the money? Look, if you already ponied up for the other Sonos stuff, why not go all the way? It’s a premium, top-of-the-line sub and it’s priced accordingly. I would say yes, it’s worth the money especially if you get it on sale. That said, it depends what your goal is - if you’re just looking for a little extra punch, the Mini might be the way to go.
