Sonos already offers great sounding speakers and if you need that extra kick this sub is wonderful and it doesn't rattle. Easy to pair just like any Sonos product. There is 1 small draw back that I feel could be fixed with a software update and that is if you turn the sound down from your Sonos speaker (touch controls) it doesn't turn the sub that is paired down as well, you have to adjust from the Sonos app or connect Sonos application. Not a huge deal for me but just wanted to mention it.

I bought an open box return that was marked "like new". The box was a tad beat up but I figured I'd give an open box item a try from Best Buy. So far so good. I just bought a house but had previous almost had a 5.1 sound system (Minus a Sub) and so since this home has a more spacious room, I thought why not get the sub to complete the package & wow. Im no audiophile but I do like how Sonos is easy to set up and the sound is great! As a techie,I love it being all wireless too! I believe I got this for nice discount as well being open box so no complaints!

I dont think the Sub mini paired well with the Beam 2 but it works great with my Playbar. The Beam 2 lacks midbass and when paired the sub mini it comes across as boomy and not well blended together. With the Playbar it sounds great and well blended for a cohesive aound and extra pumch to bring gravity to movies and shows.

This sub was better than I expected with the ultra soundbar. Better price and enough power to fill the room.

Completely changes the sound! The best buy salesperson upsold me on this.... But it was 10000% worth it. I had already purchased the soundbar, but didn't get a subwoofer, big mistake. This makes a huge difference and I'm very happy to purchased it.

I preordered this as soon as it was announced. It came a week ago and I set it up right away. For reference, I have at least one of every Sonos product in the current lineup, so I’m a die hard fan (Move notwithstanding — it doesn’t sound as good as competitors but nothing compares to Sonos integration). I set this up with a Ray in my guest room and was immediately rewarded with trademark Sonos quality. I can’t say I was surprised. The bass is deep and strong. It’s exactly what I expected. And to be honest, I’ve always thought my Sub setups (one with Beam and one with Arc) were overkill. Everything works as expected. It’s a Sonos product. It’s awesome. Not much to be said if you know this company. Huge fan of the smaller size.

Moving company broke my Bose soundbar so I moved to sonos. Always had connection issues with Bose and was extremely disappointed with it. After setting up the Sonos which was super easy, it immediately fired up and sounded better and i havent had connection issues at all. Excellent product!

Wow!! This thing packs a punch!! The only drawback... Sonos got greedy here. I mean really greedy. They want you to buy the larger at twice the price. You cannot connect two of them together. That's would have been as simple as adding a chip and could EASILY have been done. But this thing functions supremely well, and the design was thoroughly thought out. I love brains and innovation! They - Sonos is on their game. I wish they expanded to cars!

The sub mini subwoofer with the Sonos Arc has been a game changer in my household. We can clearly “hear” and love this system

Despite it being the Sub Mini, the quality of the bass, the sound it puts out really surprised me. It helps push those deeper tones while (if your setup is fully sonos like mine) allows the other devices to focus on the mid and higher tones. Well worth the money

This was purchased to go along with a Beam in my bedroom. I had a Samsung soundbar that wasn't necessarily bad just not capable of filling the room up enough with dynamic sound. After connecting this sub with the beam the room has been reimagined with great sound quality. If you're on the fence about purchasing a place with your Sonos system, don't be. The bass isn’t overwhelming and delivers as Sonos typically does. Great purchase and price, even went on sale a week after purchase through Best Buy, and they honored the price change.

If you want a home cinema this is a must have. The sound is so amazing with this product. The app is easy and the Sonos ecosystem is easy and reliable to use.

Easy to setup and works well with the Sonos Arc soundbar. Very good sound quality. And I got it on sale.

We have modestly size "open floor" living room that opens to the kitchen and a dining area. We put the Sub Mini in the corner of the living room. It gives just enough bass for music, and the right amount of oomph in movies that we watch with the family. However, it's not "room shaking" or overpowering that you might experience at a concert or the theaters; but that's not what we were looking for either.

I have been waiting for many years to get in to the Sonos family of products. I recently and very excitedly purchased the Arc (non ultra) and this Sub 4 from Best Buy and the combo is great - but I’m genuinely surprised that no other review has mentioned that the Arc already has so much bass on its own that the Sub 4 doesn’t do much until you’ve got the settings to +3 or more. If you love overpowered bass - and many people do - this sub can deliver that.. but I like strong and smooth bass, not just over-the-top loud. In fact, when listening to music I can usually turn the sub off and have it be more enjoyable, as the Arc on its own produces such excellently balanced sound - including the low frequencies - without the subwoofer. If I were doing the sequence of purchasing again for my Sonos buildout knowing and having experienced all of this now - I would still want the sub 4, but I wouldn’t have prioritized it over getting surround speakers, like the Era 100 or Era 300 speakers. I would have got the Sub last. Now, in movies does it make a difference? Yes - especially in action sequences with explosions. But… the ARC really isn’t slacking. You’ll still have a fantastic action movie experience without the sub. I do mean really great.. there’s nothing marginal about the Arc performance on its own. In short, though the Sub Gen 4 is a great, seamless product that is a cherry on a cake type of addition, the Arc is already so good that if I were needing to add more bass I’d just start with surrounds first. Hope this helps!

I have a beam gen 2 and this sub definitely makes it way better. Got it 20% off and still think it was slightly overpriced, would definitely not pay full price. That said, I was surprised at the difference it made.

I am blown away by this sub. It is exactly what my Beam Gen 2 and One SL’s were missing for my little bedroom home theater. It really just ties all the speakers together and allows the Beam to shine and the additional base makes everything seem more visceral and alive. It’s got plenty of oomph for my bedroom which is actually fairly large. The regular Sub likely would have seven overkill and while this is still expensive I wasn’t about to spend the $750+tax for the standard sub. Setup was a complete breeze as is all Sonos equipment. And the true tone calibration is technical wizardry. If you are a Sonos fan and you have the Beam or Ray or whatever then get this. Worth every penny.

Love the sound quality on this. I went from one gen 2 sub to 2 gen 4 subs (you can’t pair a gen 1 or gen 2 with a gen 3 or gen 4 for dual subs.) these things sound great and help fill out the room. Definitely only need one, cause 2 is overkill for most situations.

Pairs up perfectly with the Sonos Beam to fill out the sound in the entertainment room! Extremely easy to pair up with the Beam! Best value for a small subwoofer, but solid!
