Let's start off with... BOOM! WOW what a difference. I have the Ark and setting this sub with it was super easy. I'm not the most tech savvy individual and this was super easy. Aaaand what a difference in the sound. I didn't think I needed a sub and boy was I wrong. This sub makes all the difference in the world when listening to music of all types. Smooth jazz to hip hop. Its AWESOME. It brings the movies to life, too. There's more affordable subwoofer options out there. However, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

I bought this sub to complete the Sonos set. I have an Arc and 2 One SLs. If you are going to use the sub while watching a movie at above average volume it is a perfect addition to your collection. However, if you are just watching TV or playing games at normal to below average volume then you will not hear a noticeable difference coming from the sub. Gave 4 stars due to pricing - not enough value for the price.

This is the BEST subwoofer for a home theater. I had the Bose 700 with the Bose Soundbar 900 and I took it back for the Sonos Arc and Gen 3 sub. The Bose system sounded amazing and although the 700 subwoofer sounds really good, it was still missing something on the low end!! I’m very very happy with my Sonos system. I actually purchased dual subs, and 2 Sonos One’s for my rears. I’m blown away every time I play a movie. I love watching Mad Max Fury Road, Ford vs. Ferrari, and even A Bug’s Life sounds phenomenal. If you’re considering the Sonos surround system you will NOT be disappointed!!!!

This thing is awesome. It will shake you. Easy to pair to my system and really adds a pop to my Arc. Not the cheapest option but it really booms

The Sonos gen3 sub that I purchased and added to my system is phenomenal ! From its sleek look to the hole in the center it’s the best looking/sounding sub I’ve ever had . This was the final piece to my home theater system (Arc , 2-Era 300’s and gen3 sub) and it outperforms expensive hardwired systems with only 4 components wirelessly .

My last Soundbar and subwoofer setup was Sony-made. Within 2 months of purchase, my subwoofer speaker was blown and worse, it would inexplicably and intermittently disconnect from the soundbar that was less than 5 feet away. When I purchased my new tv i knew it was time for a change. After reading reviews for the Sonos bar and subwoofer, I knew it was worth it even if more expensive than what I had budgeted. The bass is impeccable out of the subwoofer. It sounds so creamy smooth. I recommend to anybody that is on the fence. Do not worry about saving a few dollars for an inferior product you will be stuck with for years.

I went and checked this out on display at my local store after a blue shirt recommended it and was extremely impressed with everything about it from sound quality to set up to ease of use everything one thing I really liked was that you can buy the system in pieces and add on as you go you don't have to buy everything at once however my in store experience varied rather significantly from my home experience after setup I realized the sub wasn't as noticeable or else rich as it was on display but even with that being said this may have to do with placement and you can always adjust the settings

This SONOS Gen 3 Sub kicks the cr*p out of the former Samsung Q80R sub I had. (That went into my bedroom which is fine for that room) But for primary Home Theater, this Gen3 Sub is way more profound than I expected. It goes down to the lowest frequencies. Explosions in the 4K Dolby Atmos movie 1917 made my very large room pound. I was concerned maybe I would want to add a second sub. I absolutely do not feel like I 'need' another sub. I could even turn this one down and it would kick butt. Super easy to connect from the app, no cables. Plug it into AC wall power and you're done! Amazing sound for music and movies. It is not just about Boom. It is MUSICAL!

Used to say I would never buy this subwoofer unless I had the playbar or arcbar, but I paired it with my beam and two rears and it is phenomenal!! The price is kinda steep and that’s what always held me back from my purchase, but you pay for the quality and the ease of use. Within a week, I moved the subwoofer from the front next to the tv, to the back right corner and then finally now behind the couch and I thought to myself if I ever wanted to do that with a traditional system I’d have to run a subwoofer cable to each of those new positions whereas, with the Sonos subwoofer, it’s as simple as unplug and plug in again.

This sub is awesome. Bought it for upstairs small surround sound and it is almost over powering. Thinkning about buying 2 more for my big system downstairs...love it!!
