Powerful Bass & Seamless Setup – Absolutely Worth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m extremely happy with my Sonos Sub 4 Wireless Subwoofer. The sound quality is outstanding—deep, rich bass that transforms movies and music and adds a whole new level of immersion. Setup was quick and easy via the Sonos app, and the sleek design fits perfectly into my living room décor. This subwoofer integrates flawlessly with the rest of my Sonos system and truly enhances the listening experience, whether I’m watching a movie or enjoying music. Even at high volumes, the bass remains powerful and clear without any distortion. Definitely a premium product that delivers on what it promises. Sonos Sub 4
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you already have a pre-existing Sonos sound bar, adding the sub 4 will elevate your movie watching experience with refined bass. And if you wanna crank up the bass you can do that through the Sonos app and create a room shaking experience. If one sub four is not enough, you can have the flexibility to have two in that experience alone is worth paying for it. In my opinion if you’re really into watching big Blockbuster movies at home.

Mini vs Sub 4
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can’t go wrong with any of those 2 sub from Sonos, I chose mini vs 4 bcz in a semi-open room I will be using my surround system I have a barely notice a difference btw the 2(after setting adjustments). Both sound great but 4 you feel the boom throughout the house and I don’t need that, just the boom in the room I want the experience. In my opinion you can get 85% with mini for half price of sub 4. Again they both sound great and the 4 will have more power room if you ever need it.

Near perfection for a cinematic experience
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this Sub 4 from a Mini and it has been super interesting comparing the two. Before I dive into that here’s the pros and cons for the Sub 4, generally: Pros: >Incredible room-filling cinematic bass >Relatively compact size, easy to stash behind a couch or next to a media stand >Effective laid flat or standing up >App works well and offers EQ settings Cons: >The price Who is this for? Anyone with an existing Sonos system that wants the best possible cinematic sound. Mine is paired with an Arc Ultra and two Era 100s for surround. I think that’s ideal for a medium-sized room. What’s the difference between this and the mini? The bass from the mini you hear. The bass from the Sub 4 you feel. It doesn’t sound “bass-y” at all. It feels the closest to being in a movie theatre. The bass, even turned up to the max, is just “there.” It surrounds you and adds impact all sorts of media. The mini you heard the bass. It’s still good, but it won’t make your chest vibrate. It sounded like a subwoofer. The Sub 4 is a different experience. Is it worth the money? Look, if you already ponied up for the other Sonos stuff, why not go all the way? It’s a premium, top-of-the-line sub and it’s priced accordingly. I would say yes, it’s worth the money especially if you get it on sale. That said, it depends what your goal is - if you’re just looking for a little extra punch, the Mini might be the way to go.

Deep, clean, wireless bass done perfectly.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Sub Gen 4 is an absolute masterpiece of engineering and design. From the moment you unbox it, you can tell this subwoofer means business. The build quality feels solid and refined, with a sleek, minimalist look that fits effortlessly into any modern living room or home theater setup. Pairing it with my existing Sonos system took just a few minutes through the app, and the wireless connection has been rock-solid—no dropouts or sync issues whatsoever. Once connected, the difference in sound is immediate and dramatic. The Sub Gen 4 delivers impossibly deep, clean bass that you feel as much as you hear, yet it never overwhelms or muddies the mid and high frequencies. Whether I’m watching a blockbuster movie, playing music, or streaming TV, the Sub adds a level of richness and depth that’s hard to describe until you experience it firsthand. It takes the already impressive clarity of Sonos speakers like the Arc or Era 300 and elevates them to a truly cinematic level. The dual force-canceling drivers eliminate vibration and rattling, even at high volumes, and the system’s adaptive tuning perfectly balances bass levels with the rest of your setup. It’s powerful, precise, and beautifully controlled. Yes, it’s a premium-priced subwoofer—but you’re paying for premium performance. For anyone serious about their sound, the Sonos Sub Gen 4 is a game-changing upgrade that’s worth every penny.

Absolutely love this subwoofer!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Sub 4 brings deep, powerful bass that completely transforms my home theater and music experience — movies feel cinematic and music hits with punch and clarity you can feel, not just hear. Its force-canceling woofers deliver distortion-free low end that fills the room beautifully and integrates seamlessly with the rest of my Sonos system. Setup was incredibly easy: just plug it in, open the Sonos app, and it paired instantly with my Beam 2 — adding rich, room-shaking bass that the Beam alone simply can’t achieve. Even at moderate volumes, the difference is huge: bass is tight and controlled, dialogue and highs stay clear, and the overall soundstage feels more immersive and balanced. I also appreciate the sleek matte design that matches other Sonos gear, and the flexibility to place it vertically or horizontally under furniture. This is a premium upgrade worth every penny — highly recommended for anyone pairing it with a Beam 2 soundbar!

Buy this subwoofer you won’t regret it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked it up launch week (Nov 2025) for $799 in black. Setup & pairing Added it to my existing Arc + two Era 300 surrounds in under 2 minutes. Trueplay re-ran automatically; the difference was night-and-day. The bass Deep, tight, and actually musical. Hans Zimmer scores in Dune and Interstellar hit chest-slam levels without ever getting boomy. Hip-hop and EDM (Travis Scott, Fred again..) finally feel complete; the Arc alone always felt a little polite down low. With the Sub 4, you feel 20-30 Hz in your couch on loud scenes, yet dialogue stays perfectly clear. Big upgrades over Sub Gen 3 • Faster processor → zero lag even with heavy Atmos tracks • Deeper extension (advertised 20 Hz vs 25 Hz); I can actually measure and feel it • Dual force-canceling woofers are even better at killing vibration; placed it 18” from the wall and zero rattle • Matte finish looks way classier and hides fingerprints/dog nose prints better Only nitpick Still $799. Worth it if you’re already invested in Sonos, but that’s real money. Verdict If you have an Arc (or plan to) and you watch movies or spin Atmos music regularly, the Sub 4 is no longer “nice to have” — it’s basically mandatory for the full experience. My Mini Schnauzer still barks at explosions, but now the floor shakes when he does. 10/10 upgrade, zero regrets.

Solid and defined
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing for the size. Im comparing this to my B@W 600 8", A Rel TX 5, 8" for my dedicated stereo setup. And an Outlaw Audio 10" and Kef 10" disc sub for home theater. I'm currently using a Sonos Arc with the sub mini. Two music discs that I use to test any sub is the Eagles DVD "Hell Freezes Over", song Help me through the Night and Bella Fleck's CD, Flight of the Cosmic Hippo. For Help me through the night, I listen for the definition, and sustain or release of the bass notes and it was excellent. Flight of the Cosmic Hippo, just listening to how it handles the bass and it was also excellent. For surround, I used Top Gun "Maverick". Again, excellent. My listening space is 19'x11" leading to an open kitchen. The Sonos is placed at the front right corner. Another thing that I like about the Sonos is that I don't have to turn up the volume for the sub to acquire a signal to turn on. It seems to always be ready. For me, this provides all the bass that I need. I've heard the SVS powered larger sub, but that's in a different class and for a larger space and needs and priorities. The Sub mini also does not buzz or vibrate on the hardwood floor like the Rel. I had to use vibrapod feet for that. This Sonos sub mini gives me everything that I need. If you like more boom, then the larger Sonos sub might be better, and would probably have more sustain and hit harder and lower, but maybe with more overhang. I've only heard the store demo. Anyway, it's a keeper. Just ordered a pair of Sonos ERA 300 for surrounds.

Punches way above its weight class!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I saw that I could not only add a second sub to my Sonos Arc Soundbar, but also have a Gen 4 SUB, AND get it for the same price as a Gen 3, I jumped at the chance! It evened out the bass response of my room, and made the bass even more effortless than it was to begin with. It was easy to add it to my Sonos Home Theater setup. Just like with the Gen 3 SUB, the Gen 4 is very solidly built, and I have never heard it struggle or bottom-out trying to reproduce the lowest bass notes, much less any port noise. Both the Gen 3 and 4 punch WAY above their weight class. And that is saying something coming from someone that has owned Miller & Kreisel and Klipsch subs!

Holds its own against the full size gen 3 sub!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have the full sized sub in our media room (paired with the arc sound bar. This setup sounds wonderful! I decided to try the mini in our garage and see how it compared. It is substantially cheaper but figured it was worth a try. Our garage is actually larger than our media room, so I had low expectations. I was blown away and how well the mini did! It’s paired to a set on One SL’s. For the money, it is very comparable to our other setup. I also prefer the black matte finish over the full size sub. Works wonderfully well with the app also. Adding to our system was a breeze, as with all Sonos products. You can’t go wrong with the mini, don’t underestimate the mini! The bass is strong and right, we absolutely love it! If you don’t like it, you can always return it! A++++++

Deep, Powerful Bass That Completes the System
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Sub 4 is an absolute game changer. I already loved my setup, but adding the Sub 4 took everything to a completely different level. The setup was incredibly easy—just a few taps in the app and it was paired and ready to go. The bass is deep, clean, and powerful without being muddy or overwhelming. You don’t just hear it—you feel it. It adds so much depth to movies, music, and even regular TV. Action scenes hit harder, music sounds fuller, and the overall experience feels truly cinematic. If you already have a Sonos system, the Sub 4 is 100% worth the upgrade. It completes the sound in a way that makes you wonder how you ever watched anything without it.

Mini sub decent for secondary tv or small room
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After much research reading reviews on what others thought I purchased the beam and mini sub for my living room. My living room has vaulted ceilings and is semi open. There is a wall between kitchen and living room but it stops where the dining room starts. Set up was easy but I had to turn the mini sub up to 10 before I realized it was working. I now have it set on 6. I’m not a big time bass person but at the same time hearing base on a tv show or movie just makes it better. I have an Arc on order for my family room in the basement. I was going to order a mini sub because of the reviews I read but now I will be ordering the sub 4 for the family room. Family room is the main place I watch tv. The mini sub will work for the living room as a casual place but I don’t think it would work for my family room where the majority of movies and sports is watched. I will likely get the era 300 for the family room too. Will not get surround sound for the living room. The beam works great in that space.

SONOS MINI SUB
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using the Sonos mini sub speaker for the past few weeks, and I'm really impressed. despite its compact size, it delivers surprisingly full sound- crisp highs, rich mids, and a solid bass that fills a room. It pairs seamlessly with the Sonos app, making multi-speaker setups easy, and it integrates perfectly with voice assistants. If you're looking for a home speaker set up this is the way to go.

Sonos Sub 4
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded my Sub 3 to a Sub 4. I definitely feel that there is more bass, subtle, but a deeper bass. As usual, a sleek, modern design, it looks and feels premium. It’s also quite a bit lighter than the 3, which is nice! Sonos bass is deeper and more “punchy” than the previous Samsung surround I had and a definite upgrade. Extremely easy to set up the Sub 4. I may not have figured it out yet, but I do wish there was a “sound field” to set up where one would be for music and the other for movies. My movie bass is always deeper than the music bass and I find myself having to put the bass higher when switching back to movies.

Punches above its weight class!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who appreciates both aesthetics and performance in home audio equipment, I recently invested in the Sonos Sub Mini. I am delighted to share my experience with this compact subwoofer that has not only met but exceeded my expectations. Design & Build Quality The first thing that caught my eye was the Sub Mini’s design. Its dimensions are just perfect for a living room setup, boasting what I’d call a ‘spouse-friendly design’. It blends seamlessly into our living space without being obtrusive. The build quality is impressive – it has a noticeable heft to it, indicating a well-constructed and durable unit. Sound Performance The sound quality of the Sub Mini is where it truly shines. The bass is tight and potent enough to shake walls, adding a new dimension to our movie nights. Watching films like “Top Gun: Maverick”, “Jurassic Park”, and “The Matrix” was a thrilling experience, with every explosion and soundtrack feeling more immersive. Even in family movies like “The Polar Express”, the Sub Mini brought out deep notes in the locomotive scene that we had never noticed before. Despite its powerful output, the unit has no noticeable vibrations – a testament to its solid build. User Experience Setting up the Sub Mini initially presented some challenges. However, the issue was promptly resolved with a quick call to Sonos support, who were incredibly helpful and efficient. Room Compatibility I use the Sub Mini in my living room, which is approximately 18x14 feet with an opening to the dining area. The Sub Mini fills this space effortlessly with rich, detailed bass. I highly recommend utilizing Trueplay tuning to optimize the sound for your specific room layout. Final Thoughts The Sonos Sub Mini is an excellent addition to most living room setups. Its combination of compact design, robust build quality, and exceptional sound performance makes it a standout product. For anyone looking to enhance their home audio experience without compromising on space or aesthetics, the Sonos Sub Mini comes highly recommended.

Completes my Sonons 300 stereo pair setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sub perfects my Sonos ERA 300 stereo pair setup. I had the larger one to start, but then tried this and for my room size, 5mx10m, I couldn't tell a difference so swapped out for this smaller one. Its less obtrusive size wise, I get the same bass, and the bass is perfectly matched - adds just to the low end where needed, and appears to come from center of my speakers, even though the sub is in a corner of the room.

Sonos - Sub Mini Wireless Subwoofer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added the Sonos Sub Mini to my setup and it made a real difference. It’s compact but fills the room with solid, tight bass that feels natural and never boomy. Movies just land with more weight, and music has a nice foundation that the soundbar alone couldn’t deliver. Setup was easy through the Sonos app, and Trueplay tuning helped it blend smoothly with my Arc. It disappears visually and still adds depth to everything I watch or listen to. It’s not earth-shaking like a big sub, but for its size and price, it punches well above its weight.
