Excellent Sound Bar!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to replace my old Sony sound bar and staying with Sony was the right decision. This sound bar has plenty of HDMI 2.2 inputs and also has one input for ARC, to facilitate controls with the TV. Sounds is great. I've tried various formats and blows my old sound bar out of the water. The wireless sub is smaller than my previous sub and wireless. Decent lows, mids, and highs. Fully impressed.

Great sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is fantastic. We had a little trouble setting it up in the beginning but after a few frustrating efforts we figured it out! The only issue we have is when we are watching internet programs the sound from the bass cuts in and out for a little at first then usually figures it out after small amount of time.

Decent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice sound, wish base went deeper. Controls as interactive another Sony TV are a little too complicated.

Love this soundbar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound is full and excellent! I thought that not using my own speakers from the tv would make it bad but not so.

Good sound bar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This soundbar/subwoofer works good however it is extremely difficult to connect additional speakers. I had to use and online APP to connect 2 more speakers through WIFI and they keep disconnecting.

Great Sound System
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound bar and subwoofer system! Subwoofer hits low frequencies pretty good. Mids and Highs sound awesome with nice and clear sound. Overall very happy. Only option that is missing is the inability to adjust frequencies via equalizer. Instead you can only pick one of the presets.

OK but needs firmware updates.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased the Sony XBR65X850D and HTNT5 together. Below are my observations of the unit after a couple months of use. Muting the TV for an extended period of time causes the soundbar to go into standby and shutoff. Sub woofer sound periodically stops even though the green lights is on and the sound bar is on. Sub has to be powered off/on to correct. Lag in audio between the TV and sound bar. Turing off/on the sound bar corrects this issue. This one drives me nuts. All of these issues are not constant but happen frequently enough they are annoying having to address one or the other every couple days. Overall the sound from the soundbar is good but not great. The sub woofer is an added benefit but too small to provide a noticeable difference as you would expect. Most reviews I have read about the speakers from the TV say they are terrible but for normal everyday TV I think they are fine. The soundbar helps but they are definitely not a must have. For movies the soundbar is a bonus but most of our time using the TV is for standard programs. Overall I would purchase the Sony XBR65X850D TV again with no reserve as it has been great. I like the soundbar idea but this unit needs updates. The good new is I believe most of the issues with this unit could be addressed with firmware update if Sony chooses as the hardware itself seams to be good. I'll be waiting for firmware updates.

Posted .Hi Dakota T, Thank you for providing this valuable feedback. We are very glad to hear that you are enjoying your TV and HT-NT5 sound bar, but are disappointed it is not currently exceeding your expectations. In order to ensure you have received the latest firmware update (Version no. M34.R.2082, as of 12/14/2016), please make sure your sound bar is connected to your home internet network and you have enabled Auto Update in the Setup menu. Also, it appears you would benefit from turning off the Auto Standby feature, also located in in the Setup menu. We greatly appreciate this feedback and appreciate your support. Please do not hesitate to contact us at 800-222-7669 or [email protected] for further assistance. Regards, -Mark

Sony SoundBar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this sound bar as a bundle with my Sony 65" smart tv. The reason why is that I saved 200 on this sounder and 300 on the tv. Love the sounder but I think the sound could be a little better for the price I paid. But I still love it. And I got rid of my old sound system with speaker wires (-:

Could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is suppose to be sonys best sound bar at least in 2016 and up to this review it is. But I've had nothing but trouble with it since day one I run all my equipment through the sound bar and I've been noticing on my cable box it's flickering more when it turns on it has a black screen or its frozen so I change a channel and it's ok sometimes. I swapped cable boxes same issue swapped hdmi same issue swapped ports same issue. I know the hdmi cables and ports are ok cause my Apple TV performs properly without any problems. But it just don't like Xfinity. Also for sound it seems like the from tweeters conctantly aren't working or blown but for this price I'd expect some crystal clear highs when they are aimed right at you. Last issue is the surround sound feature when connected to the zrs5 the no control ability to tune the rear speakers is a pure annoyance I'm hoping it can be fixed with a firmware update or something. I'm glad I got the extended warrenty cause I've had it swapped out once already.

Good sound from an unexpected source
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound bar meets my needs when coupled with the bass box. A little difficult to connect to a Sony TV and utilize one remote (still haven't been able to get the two to "talk"), but the sound rate and picture match up well and replaces a bulky receiver I had to have space for under the tv.

WOW!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This sound bar is awesome! The employee at Best Buy that helped us was completely honest about the fact that the speakers on the tv we were purchasing weren't the best and man oh man was he right. We purchased the sound bar at the same time as the TV and figured if the TV speakers were okay we would just return it. No return here. Love the sound bar and the wireless sub-woofer makes it feel like your the in the theater watching.

Small Room Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a Sony TV and this stupid Sony sound bar had a problem with it. I have to use two remotes, you have to shut the TV off first and turn it on first or the Sound bar looses synch. The sound just sucks.
