In the surround sound dept. I don't know how Sony does it but it simulates surround sound pretty well. Very clean and crisp sound. And vocals can be clearly heard. Best sound bar value for your buck.

Its is meant to be hung on the wall. I had to wire the hdmi to the sound bar and then bypass to the TV in order to see the options on the TV. I have a LG TV and it regonizes and works well with this Sony 4K audio high res soundbar.

We have solved that problem with this sound bar. You're able to correctly adjust the sound to increase the clarity of speech. This is most useful when you are overriding many manufacturers tendency to accentuate bass range output.
