    I bought this system expecting very nice sound quality for the price but was disappointed. I had a 2.1 laptop speaker setup before and it sounded wayyyy better. I tried to troubleshoot the sound quality because i read so many great reviews but was unable to get the sound to my liking and I'm not picky or an audiophile but i am pretty tech savvy. Even with the base turned all the way up and the volume at half way it was the right loudness i usually watch movies. I also bought the wireless rear speakers and those sounded amazing. But for the sound bar and sub, it was very unimpressive. Not sure why.

    Bought open box. No remote, no Manuel thought no problem. Can't connect to TV. Demo sounds great though.

    I was excited about this product after all the reviews. Was disappointed with it. Subwoofer was way to low.

    This is an overpriced 2.1 soundbar. I expected much higher quality for the cost. Needless to say I returned it.

    I really wanted to like this soundbar but ultimately had to take it back. I thought it was an obvious choice to pair with my Sony Bravia amd had issues from the first day. The manager actually said it was due to me using the ARC to connect the bar and I should use an optical as it has less issues. Sound was good on music and only so so for movies.

    The sound bar works just fine but the sub woofer is a bit on the low side & the volume only goes up to 12

    Sound bar does not work properly

    Sound bar is very complex and hard to understand, since installation the geek squad has worked on it 2 times but never explain what they are doing. So while the system work when they leave when I change from DVD to television it does not work.

    We have had problems with the soundbar since day one. It frequently turns itself off and sometimes there is no sound even when it is turned on. When we are watching a movie we cannot hear the dialogue even with the volume turned up to 100.

      It is unfortunate to hear that you have been having some issues with your HT-NT5 sound bar. Although this may not be a common occurrence, we would like to recommend installing the latest firmware update for the sound bar. You can access this update by connecting your HT-NT5 to your Home Internet Network through the Setup menu. After updating to the latest firmware, please reset the sound bar. With the HT-NT5 powered on, please hold down “VOL -“ and “POWER” buttons on the front of the sound bar for 5 seconds. You will see “RESET” on the front display.

    Sounded good, but I wanted bigger sound

    I traded up to the NT-5 Sound was ok on the smaller one but I wanted the bigger sound the NT-5 gave.

    The reviews about not enough sound are so true. By no means am I any kind of "tech" person so I thought I was doing well getting this system on sale. NO my previous $99 sound was louder. I'm outside the return window so hopefully I can at least to do an exchange. If you're willing to spend $300+ don't buy this sound bar.

    Pairing issues, and subwoofer is subpar.

    At first, I had issues with the sound not coming out of the sound bar when I turned the TV on. It took a long time to pair the soundbar with the TV even though I followed the directions. Also, the subwoofer just started rattling, recently. I've only had this system for 4 months and the subwoofer sounds shot when it goes up any higher than 12.

      - Plug your components into the HT-NT5, then connect to your TV’s HDMI (ARC) from the HT-NT5’s HDMI OUT (ARC)
      - Plug your components into your TV, then connect the TV’s HDMI (ARC) to the HT-NT5’s HDMI OUT (ARC)
