    Bought this as a "like new" best buy open box item and definitely it looked new but the product itself wasn't working very well even with its own brand Samsung TV. It was disappointing thus lesson learned, don't buy something open box, you never know. Otherwise, perhaps the actual product would have been nice to try as new but the store had none in inventory.

    great sound but setup problems

    this sound bar purchased to match my Sony TV but kept quitting. Had to call Sony tech twice to get help. Seems it does not work well using a HDMI cable. no one said to buy digital cable. Too late......sent it back......frustrated.

    this was an open box that was suppose to be like new and everything was suppose to be in the box, when I got it home it was missing the fiber optic cable that connected the sound bar to the back of the TV, this box was not checked very good before it was put out.

    The highs are ok but the bass is very low and the Bluetooth keeps on disconnecting so you need to go to the owners manual to hook the baby bass back up. I have a bose and no problem. I guess u pay for what you get.

      Hello Charlie, thank you for your message. If the system does not operate properly, reset the system as follows: 1. Press HOME. The home menu appears on the TV screen. 2. Select [Setup] from the home menu. The setup display appears on the TV screen. 3. Select [Resetting] - [Reset to Factory Default Settings].. 4 Select the menu item you want to reset. 5.     Decent but over priced and I bought at a discount in a TV package deal. Power output is minimal but fills a medium size room. 18x 18 feet.

Although the sound output may often times differ depending on the source (cable set-top box, Blu-ray Disc Player, music streaming via Bluetooth, etc.), we’d like to recommend updating the Sound bar to the most up-to-date firmware to take advantage of all recent quality improvements. You may also try streaming music via Bluetooth to test if the low sound output is possibly coming from an external device.

    Bought with a Sony TV

    I bought this package as part of a bundle with a SONY TV. Set up was supposed to be as easy as plugging in the HDMI cable into the right slots. However I was never impressed with the sound quality. Seemed like it was just a minor upgrade from the TV sound. Just before the Super Bowl I tried using another HDMI cable and it seemed like it was finally giving quality sound, then the next day, it quit working completely. Called SONY support and they connected remotely to try to fix the problem. After 30 minutes they put me on hold for over 15 minutes then suddenly the call was disconnected. Even though they took my contact phone number at the beginning, no one ever called back, so I took the product back for a full refund.

    Bought this item for $699 on July 7, 2016. It is Aug. 2, 2016 and it stopped working. I've had bad experiences with Sony long enough ago to give them another try. After finding out that was a bad idea, i wanted to return this product, well, Best Buy only allows a return for 14 days unless you pay them to be an elite member! REALLY? Now i just went on the website and I see this model is now $599. Reading their price match policy, after purchase that's only good for 14 days also. So now, less then a month after purchase I have to send it back to Sony and am stuck with it. Plus i paid an extra $100 LESS THEN A MONTH EARLIER!!! Hopefully Sony will replace or repair. They have a 1 year warranty but it will still probably cost me something.

    Don't waist your money. This unit sounds much better in the store when you are standing right next to it. But when in a larger room the sound is no better than the speakers on the TV.

    We purchased the Sony 2.1 High Res System to compliment our New Sony 4K HD TV, and add the sound to the new viewing experience. We were expecting the sound system to live up to Sony's reputation of great quality, and performance, but we were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED wit this system. It literally was NOT MUCH BETTER than the TV speakers, and the Bass Woofer had NO PUNCH to it at all, considering the cost, and Brand Name ! The only upside to it was the compatibility to use with the Sony Remote, but that certainly did not justify the cost,. We have already returned it, and gone with a BOSE System. WE are BLOWN AWAY by the new BOSE. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, OR TIME on the Sony System...

    I purchased this item to go along with the Samsung TV. The sound bar sounded very good when playing music station's but sounded terrible on regular TV. Also was not very compatible with my Samsung TV therefore I returned it.

    I purchased this item 5 months ago and I have had to send it in for service twice. If you buy this soundbar you ABSOLUTELY NEED to get the best buy warranty! A wasted $600, Best Buy should take it off their shelves!
