We jumped on this chance to own the putstanding sound bar only to get it home and it was not sounding as expected. The controller was not very easy to understand unless you read the manual, the base was weak, it had a crackling sound from the speakers, and it started to shut itself down after a couple of days. Hopefully it was just ours, but we returned it and went back to our old system.

The subwoofer is great and the simulated surround sound is good too. The ease of setup made me give it an extra star as well.

This bar is under powered, not much user control and voices in certain situations are hard to here. Returned it for HTCT 800 which was not much better. In the Sony lineup, to get anything that is decent you have to pony up $1499 for surround sound. There is no middle ground. I broke with Sony tradition, returned 800 and got a Nakamichi 9.2 system, with 4 satellites and 2 subwoofers for $1199. So far this has been outstanding. Guardians of the Galaxy in 4K was better than in theater in movie mode with Clear Voice and Pure Direct adjustments. Big 10 Championship was like being there with Sports setting.
