I went on a little bit of a shopping spree and i am not one to do it alone so i had to drag my roommate a long just for a secondary opinion since I did think about his use as well. I kind of wanted to stick to a budget but a budget soundbar just will not cut it. I probably tried out 3? that were on Display, a Samsung, Vizio and this Sony. I already have a Sony 5 Disc surround sound from 2007(?) still works great except for 1 speaker that just died on me a while back and the controller needing replacement. So i was sold on the fact that Sony products are superb. My roomie made the end decision for me (pushing me to getting it) overall I'm happy with the purchase i hardly use any of the new electronics but when i do the sound is amazing!

This is priced right for what you get. The sound really fills up my bedroom and has changed my listening experience. I wouldn't recommend for a large family room, but it is fantastic for a bedroom/ office system.

Sound is great and the wireless subwoofer gives you the ability to create a surround sound like movie experience in your living room.

I bought this as an open box item because I had a budget to stay within. I did not need anything more than a 2.1 system with wireless sub. I was upgrading from an insignia 2.0 budget soundbar that did a great job until the Toslink port went bad. It is a definite upgrade in sound quality with that little extra bass for movies. Just enough for me in the living room. I already have a 7.2 setup in my man room and just need that little extra sound downstairs.

Easy setup and decent sound. The only issue I have was the included optical cable as it is cheap. It works and it was free though.

My only gripe is that I wish it had a larger digital display to show which mode it is changed to. Otherwise, its sound is great.

Connected immediately once i powered on the sounder after connecting it. Sound quality is great for a medium sized living room.

The sound system's sound is awesome and worth the money. My only complaint is, there was no option to turn down the bass. Yes it would be awesome for the younger group, but at my 58 year old age, I'd prefer to hear more of the people talking than the music background in the TV movies. My husband wears hearing aids and he said the bass sound was to hard for him. Otherwise the system itself is awesome just as long as you don't mind not having the option of tuning down the bass.

It was very easy to install and set up and the sound is perfect for our living room. Operation is simple once it is set up. Worth the money we paid for it. I would buy again or recommend toothers.

Sound bar: the sounds bar looks neat and clean. The sound is crisp but the EQ control is lacking big time. The remote only has 3 preset settings: "movie, music and clear audio and night" which is ridiculous. It does have a sub volume on the remote and even at that the sub is weak and hits the wrong frequencies and only can go down to 60hz effectively. The tweeters and sound bar speakers have barely any midrange in them so if the sub is off, then you are going to get horrible tinny sounding music. I moved the sub to the opposite side of the room and it make it sound more full overall. This sound bar is good for apartments in that it doesn't hit hard in the low end spectrum so your neighbors won't hear it. This soundbar is fantastic for movies/tv but is just okay for music solely. Overall I'd give it 3/5 stars

This sound bar has a professional level sound to make up for the lack of clarity from the TV. If plugged into the ARC HDMI port of a Sony TV it is fully automatic (no adjustments needed).

I was looking at the Bose sonos and was totally amazed by the sound from such a small speaker however as much as I love music I thought i should consider a soundbar with a subwoofer for some added punch. I listened to several and clearly liked the overall sound and quality of the Sony. It was simply to set up, I stream my music, sports talk and tv through it and I am very satisfied with the quality and Sony brand

This SONY sounder system delivers clear sound for a fair price. I like how it can connect to other devices through bluetooth, can get good sound quality with music on my phone or iPad.

The sound and performance of this product for the price you pay is so worth it

Nice design, great sound, and was under $150. It pays to wait. I had a little challenge setting it up but ok.

This is perfect, Easy to set up less than 5 min. Very Clear, Crisp sound, really like the BT.

My wife and I found this sound bar at a great price during Black Friday sales. I think that there can be a little more bass at lower volumes but you get what you pay for. Connected to my Toshiba FireTv easily and it powers on with the TV automatically. Bluetooth and USB work great. I have the HDMI connected to my TV ARC HDMI port, the optical cable connected to the Blue-Ray player and everything works fine.
