Stopped Working!

Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this sound bar in December of 2018 open box (excellent) upon picking it up the box was a bit tattered but I went with it. I took it to our beach/rental property to use with a Sony TV for ease of hook up via Sony Sync. Upon unpacking the Styrofoam packing was broken no owners manual and a couple of scratches but were just cosmetic keep in mind this was an open box excellent and according to Best Buy this was supposed to be like new? I hooked up after getting the manual off line and seemed to work well. Fast forward to August this year when the sound bar stopped working, I figured that a renter had screwed up the input but that didn't fix it so my next thought was maybe the HDMI cable needed to be replaced so on my next trip down I replaced it but that didn't fix it either. I then noticed the display on the sound bar seemed dimmer near the top but brighter as it went down so I unplugged it hoping to reset it but once it again it didn't work and still doesn't. I know that I bought it 12/18 but since it is in our rental place it has only been used maybe a total of one year before it died. As mentioned already it was connected to a Sony TV and my primary residence has a Sony TV, receiver, and blue ray player so I am a bit loyal to the brand which is why I am so disappointed in this sound bar!
