Very Pleased with the HTCT290 Soundbar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.At first I was not pleased with this soundbar because it would not sync with my new Sony 4K TV. I was told everything was included in the box including an optical cord. Best Buy associate knew the Sony 900e Tv I had just purchased. I had to call SONY who told me the optical cord was the reason it was not sync to TV remote. I simply replaced it with an HDMI cord and all was well. Why would SONY include an optical cord that did not work with their new TVs. After getting everything in sync, the sound is fine. The sub woofer is placed under the table on the opposite side of the room and fills the room with a very fine sound. Highly recommend (with HDMI arc)!

Decent soundbar, not a ton of features

It is a good soundbar overall, but the lack of options and a true front display make it less than perfect. I initially had some issues with audio delays, that I was able to work out by changing some settings on my TV. My TV is also ARC enabled, and I have connected the soundbar via HDMI and Optical - but while the ARC worked initially, it appears to have stopped. However, it still works fine through the optical cable. As a tech savvy user, I feel like I am having more issues than I should with setup. That being said, the sound quality is really good. The subwoofer adds decent bass too. Overall, it's a good soundbar, I just wish it had a few more features for the price range it's in.
