*Warning w/ Sony TVs* Random audio lag

Very happy with this at first but have had repeated issues with 0.5 to 1 second audio lag appearing after about an hour of use. Temporary fix is to turn off an on again but comes back quickly. Have tried various high quality HDMI cables and even resorted to optical. Tried multiple setting on TV and Sound bar - nothing fixes it. No fixes on the forums. Seems to be certain sony TVs + this sound bar that has the issue.

    Subwoofer stopped working

My soundbar was working perfectly however after 1 month the subwoofer stopped working. I did all the recommended troubleshooting and nothing. The subwoofer doesn’t even turn on (no light when you plug in and tried many different outlets too). Very disappointed. What should I do next? Take to bestbuy or call the manufacturer?? How do I get it fixed or replaced?

Got this sound bar recommended by two different sales associates. Giant subwoofer that let's you down hard. Took it back same day and got the $150 Visio which I passed on first because it does not have an HDMI (arc) connection. I had to turn the base down on the Visio and it's smaller, cheaper, and has better audio quality by a long shot in my opinion

Not much mid-range or deep sound

I received this unit as a Christmas present and was unfortunately disappointed. There is not much difference from the TV speakers. There is some bass at higher volume levels but still not a lot of midrange at all. I will be returning this unit for a different one.

Great...if you only need it to last for 14 months

Bought this at the beginning of last year. Had no problems until the subwoofer died shortly out of warranty and now I have to go buy a Vizio or other brand. Poor customer service from Sony...last product from them I'll ever buy!

Subwoofer fails after minimal use. Sony is no help in troubleshooting problem. Multiple entrees on Sony website attest to a widespread problem with subwoofer failure on the HT-CT290 soundbar.
