There is no number display (or any other display) that lets you know that you are turning the volume up or down. There is just a light that blinks.

Settings are limited and the bass isn't as boomy as you'd expect but it's alright. I have an older LG bar w/sub on another tv that was similar in price and it sounds better.

Nice sound bar.

It has really helped with some of our family members that have difficulties hearing. It has helped with keeping the volume of the tv lower for the rest of the family. Especially late at night.
