I especially like the built in speaker/microphone, the color light bar on top that helps distinguish one controller from the next and the matte/polish color layout.

Warranty unavailable due to COVID

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a replacement for a drifting stock PS4 controller. Works great but would be weary that right now Sony’s fix and replace service is temporarily unavailable due to COVID-19 and there aren’t any discounts at this time so $60 can be pricey if you are buying multiple controllers. So if your controller has problems within the first month or so you might have to buy a new one.

Best gaming controller

The back triggers also extend further down so you have better control on your fingers. The new model has a front facing light bar which tells you what color and player number you are. The analog sticks are also great on the thumbs. Overall a great controller.

Official PlayStation Controller is the Best
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Official PlayStation DualShock 4 (DS4) is the best controller for the PS4 and the best controller Sony has ever made. I enjoyed the PS3 controller, but this is better in every possible way. It is more responsive, it is more comfortable to hold, the inputs feel fantastic, and the larger shoulder buttons and concave triggers are huge improvements, especially for shooters. There are unofficial downloadable drivers and configuration tools which allow the DS4 to be used on PC/MAC. The two negatives are the price at $59.99 (the cost of a brand-new game) and the battery life is much shorter at around 8 hours compared with the nearly 30 of the DS3. For local co-op or just to have a backup when your primary controller needs to be charged, the PlayStation DualShock 4 is really the only one to get.
