The DS4 controller improves on everything that was flawed about the ps3 controller, while keeping the overall feel. The weight and build quality is a noticeable improvement, and the fit is much better for adult gamers compared to the smaller ds3. Extended game sessions are very comfortable, and the controller is responsive and precise in all game types. The battery life is much shorter (8 hours, compared to 24+), but regular charging keeps this from being a problem. Under heavy use, the rubber coating will start to wear off the thumbsticks, but this is not a serious problem and doesn't affect usability.

This is really good controller for ps4 players. I like the color variety and design.

I got this for my 11yr old and she LOVES it. She loves the colors. Keeps a very good charge. Worth the buy.

I've encountered reviews of consumers having issues with their controllers. A week into my purchase, I've yet to notice any problems. However, due to what I read, I did opt for the geek squad extended warranty just to be on the safe side.

The new PS4 controllers are a little different than the PS3 controllers. First off, they are smaller, the front buttons (L1, L2, R1, R2) are closer together, and the sticks are smaller. At first I wondered if the new design would be hard to handle but after using it for only an hour I have become accustomed to it. The design is almost intuitive. This controller makes the PS3 controllers feel big and clunky. There are also some really cool features to the PS4 controller such as a one-touch share button to upload video and screenshots to Facebook, a built in speaker for certain game audio and a touchpad.

My current controller has started to "bug out" on me so I needed a new one. Got this one because I think it looks fairly cool. Only reason for not 5 stars is because out of the box the plastic where the top and bottom half meet had some excess lining. When you held the controller you could feel the protrusion. After a week or so it has started to wear off.

I enjoy sharing my video game experience with my family, this is why I purchased my 2nd controller.
