The new version of the dual-shock 4 is still just as nice as the original. I have not had the issue with the rubber on the sticks wearing away like the originals were plagued with and the light bar in the touch-pad is a nice addition.

Pretty good controller overall. I have used same kind , different color . The thumb sticks seem to wear out fast and that’s not coming from someone who doesn’t over use it and I’m not hard on my controllers. The thumb sticks sometimes will move on their own going up and down . Had the same issue with my other one.

The controller is a good controller, I just think that the price for the controllers are a little high.

This controller is no different than the one that came with my PS4 but is red instead of black. One suggestion that I have is that Sony needs to update their instructions to pair the controller because they are completely wrong. For those who have spent 2 hours trying to figure it out...press and hold the “share” key and “ps4” key for 10 seconds or so from the Bluetooth devices menu and you will see the wireless controller as a device to add. Besides the incorrect instructions, the controller works as expected.

My kid loved it! It was just the color that was requested.

Remote is just like the first black ones just a different color, grip is good, but gets loose very quick.

My old controllers getting uncontrollable so this is P4 ready by sony as the others were but they wore out!

I got to be total honest with the random person reading this review. I purchased this beautiful golden controller for the most obnoxious and vainest of reasons. I purchased this gold controller so I can play Assassin's Creed: Origins which takes place in beautiful ancient Egypt. I pre-ordered the Gold Steelbook Edition through the good folks at Best Buy and I want to play AC:O with a golden controller in October when it is released. Sounds ridiculous right? Yes, I know.... don't judge me. I know some of you will understand.

Fine for kids but adults have bigger hands. Battery life is good but not great.

I choice it for the color. It’s a controller and works how is supposed to. So how can you really review a ps4 controller???

My son loves his ps4 and this was an excellent addition to the system. Now he and a friend can play.

Works well. Makes available for two players based on the split screen. An Excellent addition t the Plat Station 4, when friends come over.

Connected right away to my PS4 Pro and has worked just fine since. No battery issues or connectivity issues.
