Recommend with any console controller you purchase the warranty. The process for exchanging the controller using the warranty was easy but you will have to purchase the warranty again with the new controller. This can be a real inconvenience if you play games a lot.

The main change on this one vs the older model is that the light bar now illuminates on the top edge of the controller so you can see it as you are playing. The gold color of this controller is unique and complements the gold lettering on my Uncharted 4 collector's edition Playstation 4 console.
