I'm elite plus and went in to bestbuy store to replace defective controller after having it for less than 2 months but over 45 days. clerk said they would not exchange without the ps4 itself since it was bundled. I told her I would not bring in the whole system with downloaded content. Asked her to call the store manager and tell him if they wouldn't replace it I would buy a single controller and then return the defective unit with that receipt the next day. all of a sudden they could actually help me and they exchanged the defective controller for a new controller. (I'm betting that this will wear out too, unless it is a different production run and they've finally addressed the problem) this is a known problem (google it - ps4 defective controllers) and bestbuy should be working with sony to make it right! I was not pleased with this experience.

Sony has stopped caring about quality of anything not PS5. Sad, I love the design of these better than the ps5 controller.
