I always like to have 2 controllers, so I can swap when I am in the middle of a game and the battery runs out. combine this with a charging station and it makes for countless uninterrupted hours of playing.

Awesome controller however, we did have difficulty getting it to sync and connect to our PlayStation. We did manage to get it working,

The Dual Shock 4 is Sony biggest redesign since the inception of original Dual Shock on the Playstation 1. Every version of the controller until now had the same basic shape and feel but this time Sony has combined the best features of the Dual Shock and rival XBox controllers for the the Playstation 4. What's Same: -D-Pad: Fans of fighting games will be happy to know that the directional pad is still the same offering the same precise response as before -Primary Button and Placement: Controller layout of D-Pad, Square, Triangle, Circle, X, L1, L2, L3, R1, R2, R3 is virtually the same so little time needed to become familiar with it if you've used previous versions of the controller. Responsiveness is unchanged What's New: Share Button: Immediate access to the gameplay video and screenshot functions of the PS4 Options Button: Replaces the Select Button but the differences are only in name and not in function Touch Pad: The function of the pad differs depending on the game but is very responsive. The entire pad can be clicked inwards and carries the same function as the Start Button did with previous controllers Light Bar: It's function also differs with each game and the effect is primarily aesthetic but uses so far have seen the light bar change color to indicate player number, get brighter when a character is using a flashlight, or flash to show player health Speaker and chat headphone jack What's Better -Analog Sticks: Taking a page from Microsoft, these are now convex and not concave like previous versions. Thumbs rest securely on top of the pad and no longer can slip off with quick movements. The tension of the sticks are slightly higher and feel sturdier now instead of flimsy -Redesigned shapes: Those who felt the Dual Shock was too small will like the new design. It is now slightly wider with more ergonomic curves, those with larger hands will no longer have to uncomfortably bend their wrists in.

Only will buy PlayStation brand controllers. Still works great to this day and got on sale for a good price.

I wanted a second Dualshock controller for my PS4 console...I chose blue (my favorite color) so I could tell the difference from my other controller. It works just as good of the original controller.

I got this controller and it’s been working great. I’d recommend Best Buy because of the extra warranty they provide.

Well made controller. battery life could be a little longer, but if you plug it in after using it you should be all set except for long game sessions. price is still a little higher than i would like.

Who doesn't need an extra controller? Controllers have changed a lot since the last time I had a playstation. A little confusing to get it hooked up at first, but that was probably just me.
