    So-So compared to PS3 Controller

Anyone buying a gaming console should always have a 2nd controller for friends, family etc. That being said I don't like this controller as much as the PS3 version - it is less comfortable to me. The triggers are farther out now and the analog sticks are spread apart farther as well making my hands stretch more overall to the point where it isn't very comfortable. I end up missing the trigger sometimes just due to not fully pressing it in - hopefully once I'm more accustomed to it I will pull it all the way in but right now my brain is used to the PS3 trigger pull distance. Another dislike is that the battery isn't user replaceable theoretically. I had a battery in my PS3 controller go bad and I had to replace the controller completely. If you don't have battery issues though the built in battery is great! I would recommend this product to a friend since you need them to use the system and I feel OEM is better then 3rd party for stuff like this no matter what (build quality wise).

    Analog sticks cover break

This controller does not last a year without the cover of the analog sticks remain intact. Additionally one of my controllers failed on the R2 button. If you plan to buy ps4 controllers, buy the additional warranty. You will need to replace it in a year, as it seems sony wont fix the bad material. I recommend just because there is no option.

Apparently Sony still has not figured out that the average gamer is an adult and therefore has larger hands. Moreover, we tend to play for one or more hours per day which requires great ergonomics to avoid hand cramping and/or tendonitis, sturdy components, and batteries that last more than a couple hours at a time. I and nearly every gamer I know gets severe hand cramps when using these controllers due to the extremely small grip design which has changed only negligibly since the days of the PSOne. The controllers themselves tend to break easily and the thumb-stick grips have a tendency to fall apart after a few months. Worse, the R3 toggle works only about 70 percent of the time on all the controllers I and most other gamers I know own, causing more deaths while trying to escape other players in first person shooters or just falling short of long running jumps (such a sinking feeling) than I care to count. Finally, due to the short playtime afforded by the batteries, no warning when they are about to fail, and a very short charging cable provided with the PS4, 2 controllers are necessary for continuous gaming (unless you have less than a 40" TV).

    Great Controller

Love the sturdiness that Sony implemented on the DUALSHOCK 4 controllers. They feel so much better than the PS2 and PS3 controllers. These controllers are not only sturdier, but much more responsive and accurate.

Much better grip than the PS3 controller. The only downside is the battery life.

great improvements from ps3 I like the weight and the touchpad and also the speaker however the led light does waste the battery but if games use it for in game play it's okay

This is a very nice and bright PS4 Controller. If you have a PS4 then make sure and add this one to your Controller collection. You will be glad you did and you won't be disappointed.

    R1 and L1 issues

One of the controllers that I got had a problem. The L1 and R1 seem to have a factory flaw where they get stuck. Luckily theres a quick youtube video on how to fix it in a little less than 5 minutes. So even though its cool now, it would have been nice if it was flawless. Other people have reported this same problem as well.

In my opinion, the new Dualshock 4 is a perfect controller design. The touch pad is a unique feature that adds some intuitive features in certain games. Great addition to always keep one charged and ready to rock!

Of course Sony forced us all to buy new equipment for the new PS4. This appears to be nearly identical to the old Dual Shock 3 with the addition of the touchpad, the headphone jack the speaker, and the lights. Kudos to Sony for a very useful headphone peripheral, but I really want to turn off the stupid indicator light. It is a waste of battery when it is not in use!
