This Sony replaced an old flat-screen and it's amazing the technological difference in a little over a decade. Sony Tv's are the best and it's worth it to buy for the quality difference.

Good, but No OTA Guide
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good TV with a glaring flaw. The "Over the Air" (OTA) Broadcast Guide does not work. Sony tech support is worthless. Sony tech support claimed that the OTA Guide is fed by a third party app maintained by Gracenote. Sony dropped their contract with Gracenote, and now there is no data feed to the OTA Guide. Sony told me to contact Gracenote, really??? The Guide also will not accurately pick up the free channel info sent along with digital TV signal. Very frustrating.

EXCESSIVE ISSUES - LOW END QUALITY

I have two other Sony TV's in the home and wanted to add this 32-Inch to my guest room. My home is on Wi-Fi Mesh 6 (2GB) so we enjoy superior internet. The Sony 32-Inch set did not. Despite several RESETS, adding and deleting the network and trying every possible trick known (to connect) , I could get the set to connect to our network/internet but it would constantly disconnect a bit later. On its own. No other device was having issues in the home; just the Sony. Despite it being a high-end Sony, they had decided to sell the TV as a 720p resolution set only. Thus the picture is far too smooth or glossy with little detail. The set also needs its BRIGHTNESS turned up high as daytime light made the screen a challenge to see. 720P resolution sets are usually sold by low-end brands. The REFRESH rate is also downgraded to just 60Hz. Most quality sets are 120Hz. Even Samsung's 32-inch TV is 120Hz and 1080P. Just not Sony quality. Such a disappointment as I was so excited that Sony had returned with a 32-inch set again. It would be acceptable as a TV if it were a sub-par brand or a bargain brand costing about half of what it does. I hope Sony will up its game and return to overall quality and the stellar reputation it has in video.

How far is your TV from the main router? It is recommended that your TV should be in the same room and within 10 feet from the TV. Try to move the TV closer to the main router and redo the connection. If you're looking for a TV with 1080P or higher resolution with higher refresh rates, we have a lot of options available. You're going to need both hands, and the light on in the room to find/use common buttons. Also programmed abnormally, you're going to have to use the separate "Back" button, to get out of menu.
