You can opt for a Basic TV setup on Sony TVs. This option provides a simplified user experience, limiting the interface to pre-installed apps such as popular streaming services. Keep in mind that choosing the Basic TV setup means you’ll lose access to Google services like Google Assistant, the Google Play Store, and other Google apps and features.

If you prefer the Basic TV setup instead of the Google TV experience, you can switch by following these steps:

1. Press the HOME button on your remote.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Initial Setup.



This will guide you through the initial setup process again, and allow you to choose between the Google TV experience or the Basic TV setup.

Unfortunately, the W830K remote doesn't come with a backlight. The supplied Voice Remote Control is a standard remote control with Google Assistant built-in and advanced voice control, Sony’s Google TV makes life smart and simple.
