Customers are saying

Customers value the 35mm f/1.8 Prime Lens for Most NEX E-Mount Cameras for its amazing image quality, pleasing bokeh, and excellent low light performance. The lens is also appreciated for its size, weight, ease of use, and depth of field. However, some customers feel that the price is a bit high, and a few find the focus ring less than ideal.

I was choosing between this and the sel28f20--- both had the same price, the latter being a full frame lens. This one, specifically has OSS. It's a perfect companion to my a6000. The sel28f20 does not have image stabilization. I love the DOF on this one and the light it brings in. Waaaaaaay better than the kit lens-- and I love prime lenses. I have the minolta nifty fifty f1.7 and the A mount adapter and that one is still good too, but on the a6000, it's a little to narrow. This one I think is the perfect walkaround lens and the build quality is decent-- not much different from the kit lens. But the images that I get from this is insanely good. I think this should be a staple lens for people on the Sony cropped mirrorless systems.

I have been taking pictures with this lens and it has purple fringing on every photo that I've taken. I also returned it and purchased another one and I also got the same results.Tried to fix the purple fringing with adobe Photoshop but not all of it can be fixed.

    Amazing Portraits

I'm just an amateur, but I wanted to see what other lenses offer besides what came with my kit. After reading reviews, I landed on this one. The shots are beautiful. This lens very easily creates a bokeh effect, where my other lenses struggle to do so. It's a tighter shot, not as wide as the zoomable kit lens. But it's more crisp and clear than the kit lens. It can also focus faster than the kit lens. On a recent trip to Disney World, I used both to great effect. For wider shots, I used the kit lens since this prime lens has a more narrow view. But when taking pictures of friends/family, I swapped to this one and got great shots every time. I'm just an amateur, but I'd recommend using both for different reasons. It can be tougher at a convention. This lens is great for portrait or half-body shots. But often, I want to see the whole body, including shoes, for great cosplay. This lens requires standing farther back to get the whole person, so for a con, I stuck to the kit lens which has a wider angle (since the further back I go, the more people walk in-between). But when it's a group shot and I'm already further back, or in a hallway with breathing room, this lens takes the cake and makes every shot look amazing!

I bought a lens in open box and it doesn’t work, the whole thing is just Blurry. I understand lens would have scratches but why you sell broken lens, when I can get cheaper from someone else.

This lens made my a6000 more fun to use. Pictures are tack sharp. I read somewhere that the lens is not as sharp as some other lens and I respect that but for me this lens is amazing gives me that crisp details from every shot I take. Bokeh is great at 1.8. very sturdy craftsmanship and beautiful on the camera. It sure beats the image quality from the kit lens.

I bought this lens to take photos in dim light or indoor. The quality of picture is stunning and I'm very happy with my purchase. I highly recommend to add this lens for collection of lens for Sony alpha 6000.

Razor sharp, good form-factor, built in OSS and a decent price for the fast aperture that you get with this.
