You pay a little more for Sony but it's worth it - this is my second Sony. Great sale when I bought this so great value for the brand upgrade. Sound better than expected without speaker bar as well. Image is incredible and 49/50 is perfect size for average sized room.

Love the picture on this TV. Screen is reflective, so need shades down during the day. Built-in speakers only OK but sound bar makes it awesome. Apps work very nicely.

Really nice TV, and the fact that only 1 remote is needed is great feature! Want Netflix? Push "Netflix" button. Need to go back? Simply push "back" button. Overall great smart tv for the technically challenged!

Up until now we were still watching on a tube. We finally decided to get a flat screen. We are glad we went the extra $100 for the Sony as the picture is awesome and the size is perfect for our room. The sound keeps fluctuating with the channels, but we are not sure if it's the TV or our connections.

Picture quality is as advertised. I like the home screen which makes everything easily accessible, however, it does require you to download updates which for some reason never finish for me. Because I can't finish the update, I can't download Amazon video. Besides the update issue it is a good tv

I was not sure if I want to invest in a 4K TV. It is my understanding that most of broadcast television is not able to broadcast in 4K… Yet. Regardless of that, the sales person I spoke with told me I would still see a bit of improvement even if the show I was watching was not in 4K. That has definitely been the case. In fact, I would say it's more than a little bit of an improvement. Often times I put the same TV program on the living room TV (which is 1080 HD but not 4K) and on the bedroom 4K television. This TV looks so much better than the other. Just for giggles, sometimes I will switch to a Netflix program which is broadcast in 4K and it blows me out of the room. It's like I'm in the TV with them. Love this TV

This purchase was to replace our 8 year old Sony HDTV which lost its audio and Best Buy strongly urged us not to spend the money to repair it, so we bought this Sony for $999. The picture is terrific, but the sound is mediocre, so I guess we need a sound bar to make it as good as our last Sony.

Once again Sony comes out with an excellent, easy to set up, easy to navigate product with excellent picture, great versatility and highly reliable. We are Sony snobs - all of our TVs, BluRay Disc Players and sound systems are Sony and I wouldn't try to save a few $ on another brand. We bought a Sony Bavia LCD 40" tv 8 years ago and this was our upgrade from that. The 4K is a noticeable improvement with crystal clear picture, no speed lag. Easily connected via HDMI to our also new Sony BDP 5500 3D 4K and our 8 year old Sony Surround sound system that still works great. The built in apps are easy to navigate and Amazon Prime Video as well as other sites stream perfectly. Connected to the local cable easily via LAN and football games in HD are better than being at the game! Excellent value for the price and the 49" screen is big enough for our average size entertainment room. Highly recommend.

Purchased this one because another set(not a Sony) went bonkers. Wanted a 4K set and was just waiting for the right time. Great picture on this television. Easy set up. Before starting the setup get your google or yahoo password to complete the process. Once setup process is started, you can't go back. Doesn't take too long to do either. Easy to put stand on as well. I've only had Sony tvs in my living room. Love them and this one is no exception. Also got it on sale.

I have had a few televisions in the past but none which made me as excited as this tv. Not only was it my first choice because of cost but when set side by side with a LG OLED 4k tv it competes well without being out classed. I highly recommend this TV.

We needed a new HD tv since our old one did not have the correct input plug for the Apple TV. What this meant for us was not just an upgrade but a transformation in quality. Picture quality is superb.

This tv is phenomenal! Perfect for gaming and watching sports. Sony has always had a good rep on having quality products. I definitely recommend this tv to anyone just getting into 4k televisions.

Had to purchase an after market anti-glare screen so we can watch TV during the daytime. Otherwise, set has an excellent picture. Sound is unimportant since we us a home theater set up with a receiver and separate SPEAKERS.

Not as clear as it was in the store but that could be our cables. Otherwise it's good and was easy to setup. Used Netflix without issues, haven't tried the other features yet.

My Best Buy Associate was great to work with and the TV was even better than I could image. I would highly recommend this TV. The picture is fantastic.

We have consistently bought Sony Televisions over the years.The last one being perhaps the best CRT TV ever made.That was over 10 years ago.We visited Best Buy three times and spent time online before making the purchase.We considered two alternative brands.Feature for feature and picture quality,I feel this is the latest and best Television currently available and we enjoy it immensely .If the 49" is adequate for you space consider the 55" also.I would recommend this product to family.

Love my new Sony smart TV, Streaming Amazon and Netflix and Hulu it's a breeze and the quality of the image from prime time to sports is absolutely fab!

Sony is a good quality product. I had a Vizio and returned it b/c the video was of poor quality. The video on the Sony is great. Sound is decent although most people use tuners or sound bars anymore. Two negatives: 1) updates take ~20+ minutes, you can't shut down or use the TV until it finishes, and it seems to ask for them on a one to two week basis; 2) the screen is shiny and reflects light too well. Not a big deal since the room we have it in is relatively dark. Overall very happy with it. I have had this product about 1 month.

I was looking for a midsize 4k television at a really good price for my apartment... After reviewing all the competitors 4k TV's on display the Sony just stood out amongst all other brands.

The tv has many options qith the android tv built in.. i cant seem to find an internet browser but can mirror my phone and see a browser that way .... but overall is a great tv if u are looking for good picture.
