The Sony 49 inch tv is a great buy. The picture is really sharp and vivid. It was very easy to set up and I love how it will update by my wifi system. A very good buy.

My Japanese friends recommended this 49 inch 4 K Sony TV. Picture and sound both are great and I really enjoying this TV.

Looking for a replacement to an older 42 inch flat screen. This is so much nicer. Lots of built in features. Surfing the internet, and more. The colors are awesome.

This television makes watching TV a great experience again. The images are crystal clear and vibrant. The colors and upscaling is amazing! The whole family loves it!

This TV is delivers decent performance for its price. 4K content is displayed beautifully. Upscaling is near seamless with the only challenges seeming to come across in rebroadcast of other feeds (for example when Sports Center, CBS and/or Fox replay a highlight from another station the image is very blocky). The homepage interface is clunky and navigating between the apps leaves a lot to be desired. Further, I have found certain apps freezing up (Sling and Netflix to be specific) which require a force stop in the settings. However, for a TV under $1000 these noticeable imperfections are to be expected and do not detract from the overall value at the price point.

Brilliant picture quality in any lighting, easy set up, bought it on sale and was able to upgrade the size by 6 inches for only $100 extra. Overall, great product.

This tv is amazing. The picture is bright and vibrant and so sharp. Looks great too. Was shocked how poor the picture was on our old tv after hooking this one up.

I thought HD TV was going to be hard to use but once I got it I am in love with my tv. Color are very nice and sound was perfect as well. This TV is so awesome.

This is a great tv, I'm so glad I decided to buy this tv and not settle for something less. Yes, it cost a bit more but, over the long run, it will be worth it.

WOW! Keeping in mind that this is my first TV purchase since the last century, I am astounded by the picture, sound, ease of set-up, and overall quality of this TV. But, what else would you expect from a Sony? The only criticism that I have is the lack of a comprehensive instruction manual. My impression is that the purchaser is expected to be familiar with this technology and this TV is an evolutionary replacement of something just a little older. For those of us troglodytes that are coming to UHD from a 60lb tube-monster, the tons of undocumented features and options can be daunting.

Picture looks wonderful straight out of the box.Easy to set up network connections.It had a few glitches such as not keeping time and an occasional unresponsive remote causing me to unplug it and plug it back in to reboot it but these were fixed in the software updates.They are very good about frequent updates when needed. A little pricier than other brands but it is a Sony.Very satisfied!

I saw the TV to a friend and I was blown away by the picture quality! Sony is still a big player and never disappointed me with the quality of their products!

Outstanding Quality - Great Value Picture quality / sound / set up - all outstanding

My old Panasonic plasma finally gave up the ghost, so I decided to make the jump to a 4K TV. I looked at a few options in the store, but preferred the Sony, due to the great picture and price. Setup was pretty simple, although the initial software update does take a while (as others have commented). Upscales 1080p pictures very nicely, and watching 4K videos on Youtube is awesome. I found that I had to turn off the MotionFlow feature as it kept making me nauseous watching shows with a lot of jerky camera action. Also found that turning off ClearAudio removed a weird 'echo' artifact in the sound. The Android OS gives a lot of flexibility with apps, and the ability to cast YouTube videos from your smartphone or tablet to the TV is great.

Just what I was looking for - picture is fantastic and has lots of features I am having fun exploring how to use.

This 49" TV is at the top of my list for quality TV watching with okay sound. TV's ability to STAY connected to a wifi with moderate to good signal is fine.

I bought this TV for my Dad who was replacing a 42". I suggested a 55" as this was going in his living room but he thought that would be too big. Sony does it again...awesome picture, stunning color and dark scenes and the sound is good (I'm working on him for surround sound). I have a Sony wireless system that is killer! The 49" presents like a larger screen, so this TV would work well as a primary or secondary set. The apps are easy to access and follow.
