This TV has a pretty good picture for the price. Even without a 4K signal going to the TV, the picture is good.

TV worked perfectly right out of the box. The directions for the stand could have been a little more detailed.

I had gone to Best Buy for the 43" Sony 830C model , best Buy Guy was very helpful to non tecky guy and wife. In the past I was very impressed with Sony quality and very easy setup and functions, and after reading the reviews, both Pro and customer on line was ready for the Sony experience .Are only question cam e down to 43 vs 49 " to replace our 34" Sony monitor. Best Buy guy provided his advice to go with the 49" as when viewing the new 4K upscale TV's, the bigger picture provides more viewing enjoyment and clarity with the increased resolution...Took his advice and very happy with the larger screen size for our space.

Great picture and good sound with just the TV. Was thinking about Samsung but the staff went out of their way to show me other options. Love the Sony.

The base on this particular TV is poorly designed to fit a sound bar under it if you choose to not mount your TV on the wall. The quality of the unit however is wonderful.

"Sony believer" fit into by cabinet by 1/8". The football button is awesome. The up scale 4K with old movies make a difference on the picture quality.

Really have enjoyed the quality of the picture and features the Sony T V has.

I bought this TV about 2 months ago and it's been perfect. I use it for movies, PS4, and as a monitor. Since it has Android, it is really easy to work with when it comes to Google products like Play Movies or Music and YouTube. I usually just use the TV instead of using my phone or computer if I want to watch something on YouTube. I've used other smart TVs and this Android TV is definitely my favorite. As for picture quality, I don't think much has to be said since it's a 4k display. I only went with 4k for pixel density because I was going to use it as a monitor and it works great. I tried playing Resident Evil 4 on Steam and it's not perfect but it'll work. It will make a ~22 inch box in the middle to play since the old game isn't anywhere close to 4k but I doubt you'll be using this as a monitor if you're serious about gaming. As for web browsing or using Microsoft Word or Excel it's nice and easy to read and will easily work as a monitor for those things if you don't mind looking at a 49 inch display.

Easy to install the base, connect to digital services and the Internet. Picture is sharp and colors rich.

I've been watching TV on my iMac for decades and finally took the leap on this Smart TV. The picture is great, mesmerizing in fact when it's nature pictures on the screen! Sound is ok but I added Sonos (more below) to round out the sound. I wish that for the $$$$ it (The TV Remote) came with voice command options as the interface is so tedious; choosing each letter you need to enter for the myriad of logins/pswds you have to enter! Hulu crashes often and requires turning off the TV and the power to the TV to reboot. Watching ULTRA 4K streaming on any ONLINE service like Amazon Prime and Netflix doesn't work for us. TV shows load and then stop in seconds. I cancelled the ULTRA 4K option on my Netflix account and can now watch things like Jessica Jones and Chef's Table without issue and save $3 to boot. Our PS4 hooked up quickly and pairing of the game controllers was easy. Games, the Apple Horipad Game Controllers and all other media from Apple look/work great. As does the Apple TV attached to it. There's a Sonos Playbar (Livingroom), and Sonos Play 3 (Livingroom) and Sonos Play 1 (in our bathroom) currently attached to boost the sound quality and range. Sonos is a weird little beast and a different review. But the speakers work awesome with the TV! Luckily we had the GEEK SQUAD set-up and install everything and they are coming back to wall mount the TV and Sonos Playbar. Awesomeness with a few things that are a bit annoying but most with the apps.

Picture is much clearer than our past HDTV. Would highly recommend this TV

Purchased this TV after years and years of brand loyalty with Sony. I am very happy with my purchase. The TV performs as expected. I don't have or notice any issues with picture darkness as others have described. The netflix works fine but can be a bit clunky navigating. Recommended

The picture quality is very good. The android system needs to get some bugs worked out with it since it limits games you can play and misc. other quirks. Overall good.

My Sony television was really easy to set up plugged it in and played. Great picture didnt go wrong

This worked right out of the box and was really simple to set up with the provided wizard. Great streaming built right in and very good picture quality and sound.

Do not buy the comparable Samsung (6500 series) at a similar price point the Sony is way better motion and colors. better bang for your buck

The Sony 4k 49.5 inches TV has amazing picture quality an is a good size for my home.
