I was browsing through TV's and been looking at various products like Samsung etc. and one of the BB employees suggested this and I looked it up online for reviews and found it was good. I even compared it to the Samsung TV my cousin bought and undeniably this is way better than Samsung.

My new Sony 49" TV has a very clear picture and just the right size for my medium size bedroom. I love the extra features with this smart TV. This is the first Sony I have owned and I was pleased at how easy it is to use and excellent picture quality. I would highly recommend this TV to any one.

Great picture. Going from old HDTV to 4K I expected a sharper picture but I've been pleasantly surprised at how much better it is. Great user interface; I have a PS3 and Apple TV but with the built in applications and the ease of use I find myself using the "Smart TV" functions a lot more now.

Picture quality is great. Like the looks of this TV.

I only buy TVs every 8-10 years so I wanted top of the line and I feel I have it here. The 4K is a crisp picture and when cable catches up to it (they are only at 1056 now) it will be even better. I swear by Sony TVs and they have lasted many years for me - so I like to stay with them!

This product has an excellent picture and features.

I went through three of these televisions and continued to have connectivity issues. The television would shut down after an hour. After meeting with Sony and going over the ins and outs of why that would happen, we settled on a defective unit. Well, make that three defective units. I gave up on the tv and Sony in general.

I have never heard of a tv where I had to buy the remote separately. The tv is advertised, right on the box even, that it has voice controls. So when I got home with the tv, I unboxed it, and eventually found 1 remote that looked like it was from the 1990s. It was not a voice control remote. So I called SONY and after 2 hours of being bounced around from tech dept to the sales dept. Eventually the sales dept and tech dept agreed that I would need to buy the remote separately. For a second I thought about buying the additional remote with the voice control. However, SoNY could not find the remote anywhere in any store or wharehouse. So the next day I re-packaged the tv and the 1990s remote and took it back to best buy. I got the LG 4K Tv that comes with the magic remote. AS for the picture quality, I agree with all the other reviewers, in that it is very dark, even after you try the varied adjustments.

The picture is amazing. I frequently use many of the available apps, and the fact that you can connect your dualshock4 controller to the TV to play games on Playstation Now adds to the fun that is possible with this set.

So far this TV has been pretty good. While I haven't seen the 4k technology at it's best using Netflix, Hulu and other options, I'm not upset. There is a lot of lag time between shuffling from our Xbox, a DVD player or any of the online options. Would I recommend? Hard without seeing it at it's full capacity.

My biggest complaint is that adjusting the volume is VERY slow, compared to the 42-inch Sony Bravia we already had. In addition, the salesman misled us by urging us to buy the 4K UHD model. However, when the Best Buy technicians arrived to install the new TV, they said there is no 4K UHD service in our area.

I'm not sure about all the hype. It seems OK so far, but nothing amazing.

I am overly thrilled with this TV, picture quality, sound quality, features, etc. The picture quality on this 4k model is absolutely first rate, combine that with sony's high refresh rate and the clarity is unrivaled. This is an Android TV so it used the the Android TV platform which, for me, is a big bonus because I am heavily vested in the Android / Google ecosystem. If you are an Apple or iOS user then you may wanted to consider other options. There is a good app selection on this TV without being overwhelming, even if it is not as robust as roku players. The TV has google cast (aka: chromecast) functionality built-in so if there is not a TV app for something chances you are that you can cast the content to your tv from a phone or tablet. One of the REAL BIG ADVANTAGES of this TV is that it has Netflix, Google Play Movies, and Amazon Instant Video all on one TV. Getting all three of these big streaming providers together in one place is next to impossible. This was a huge selling point for me. The remote takes a little getting used, but after 1-2 days I really like it. It does not have a microphone, which means you will have to install the Android TV remote app on your phone/tablet to make use of the voice search capabilities. I recommend installing the following apps to make the most of this TV: - THX Tune Up (install on a phone/tablet then use Miracast to display on your TV...this will fine tune your picture settings) - FanTV - comprehensive search app to help you find which shows are on which streaming services.

It randomly goes to a black screen and changes the resolution. I don't change the input or anything, it just decides on its own to do a full screen refresh without warning. So if you are a gamer, this is a deal breaker. Nothing like going 180 in Forza into a turn and having your screen go black.

Great size, image and functions well. I have had no problems in the 2 months since I purchased this. I don't use a lot of the functions so I can't comment on much beyond image and responsiveness.

I needed a television that had an audio out jack on it for my older parents to connect some external speakers i bought them years ago...this TV did the trick and in exchange, they got a much more robust color experience for their digital cable viewing

No directions in box, as such, VERY difficult to setup

Android TV : will not respond to remote some times

We bought this tv last year at the end of the 2015 year. This tv continuously loses connection to the internet (when the rest of my devices are connected) and we must reconnect and sometimes fully even fully go back to factory default settings. Tv freezes in sleep mode and only solution is to unplug power (not fun when it hangs on the wall). Was excited for a 4K tv under a $1k but couldn't be any more dissappointed. I have always bought Sony products and now wondering if a bad decision. This tv is not going to last another year st this rate...Sony what's the word???

so far no one has been using it but it will be put to use a lot this summer when we have guests. This tv has cool features that we can't wait to use and it automatically connected to the internet which makes it so easy to use.
