I love my new television. The only thing I would recommend is getting a sound bar.

The clarity of screen is great! The sound is off if you put the TV in an enclosed space, at least without a surround sound system.

this is my first 4K tv purchase / upgrade. i went from 42" regularHD to this 49" 4K UltraHD Smart tv and immediately noticed the huge difference in picture quality (4K UltraHD has 4x the number of pixels as 1080p regularHD). this tv does a great job up-converting regular HD video from my Sony BluRay player, as well as, streaming from Netflix. the extra pixels makes re-watching 80's movies like Stand By Me (via Netflix) and even more recent movies like The Dark Knight rises (via BluRay) a totally new viewing experience. the size is perfect for my needs and even though i know you can find larger 4K screen sizes from other brands for the same price (currently $999.99 as of this review), you won't get the features this Sony tv has. for example, 4x HDMI inputs, 1x composite & 1 component input & much more. for me the composite & component inputs are important as i have a classic Super Nintendo Entertainment System & Nintendo Wii game consoles, that use these types of inputs without resorting to some sort of converters or custom cables. i really can't say anything bad about this tv, so do yourself a favor and get this tv if you are looking at upgrading to a 4K tv. also i need to add that the tv was pretty straightforward and easy to set up from first turning it on. it asks a series of questions such as language, wifi login info, etc and as soon as it was online it showed an Android TV update was available. i went ahead and updated the software right away (and i recommend you do the same), this took some time (about 20-30 mins for me), so just leave it alone until it finishes downloading / installing. also i'm looking forward to HBONow app coming soon (i believe the release date is currently set for sometime in July 2015), but for now Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Hulu and all the other included apps will do for now.

Its a SONY TV and it works. The last Sony TV was purchased in 2007, had a good long life. So we try again.

I would recommend this product to anyone. Sony is a great TV with a extraordinary resolution and Processor.

Used it with my PlayStation 4 and watched a few shows and movies in 4K on Netflix and am not disappointed.

I have an XBR 4 from 2008 when the line up was not as diverse within the XBR group. Sony currently has too many variations in my opinion. There are low end and high end XBRs... needless to say, I wasn't very impressed with this low end XBR primarily due the poor contrast ratios. I have been a Sony enthusiast forever but the brand has changed so much in recent years... time will tell if this pays off.

The definition makes every movie or show look so much better. Surprised by how much difference it makes.

I never new of such features in TV.. Very happy after buying it.

This tv works great for all my needs and is my 1st smart tv. Won't buy another tv that isnt.

Only thing is I had to buy a set of headphones to fit TV. Have a great Bose pair but not compatible !

I was skeptical about Sony products due to past experiences, but this TV has amazing clarity.

As always, my sales consultant put his best foot forward and advised me well. I love my new tv.
