I decided to pull the trigger on one of those 4K sets this year, coming from an semi old 3D set at 1080p. I wanted something that could be my ultimate viewing experience for my PS4( mind you Sony upscaling on that is top notch!) and as a desktop/tablet/mobile monitor, all wireless since it supports Google cast and miracast at 1080p upscaled, aside from minimum delay it looks gorgeous . I didn't care for the lack of 3D, everything already looks gorgeous at 4K that is almost looking out of a window! The Google Play store on this android TV put my big screen mobile computing to rest, I can almost do everything on this TV with a ps4 controller, my phone or a blue tooth mouse/keyboard , with the exception of its own browser, I can use my phone/tablet casting on the big screen for that, picked 50" due to a smaller room and versatility. It streams 4k thru WiFi effortlessly , and so does play any movie formats you own or downloaded purchases, including .mkv formats right off an external hard drive or usb stick, it has plenty of ports , apps, power and built quality. I went thru 3 new sets before settling for this one, the Sony name brand speaks for itself and worth every penny over competition!!

For a casual viewer the controls and picture quality are above average, especially if, as I did, you have a Geek Squad tech configure your set to your preferences - and if you don't view a lot of different programs, with various transmission qualities. When I found broadcast programs with lower than HD quality pictures, especially commercials with fast moving images, the quality drop off was notable enough to require using the Picture Adjustment feature. That's when the not-so fun part began. There are lots of variations that can be made, but it requires a lot of patience and even more "trial and error" with a lot of different programs to find the right combination. That's the bad news. The good news is when you do find "the right combination" the picture quality is fantastic! The best advice I got from the Geek Squad Tech was to make note (literally - write it down) of each setting as you work through the Picture Adjustment process and when it's perfect keep a record of those setting, so you can always find you way back, should you ever need to do so. An excellent product once it is "Fine Tuned."

Picture is excellent and the television is easy to set up. Only issue is that when words flash across the screen it sometimes gets a bit blurry.

We have been very pleased and impressed with the picture and features of this Sony television. It is just the right size for our small living room. I especially like the fact that the software is updated automatically when there are new changes. We are still exploring all of its features and I'm sure we will discover even more that we enjoy. This is an excellent television for a fair price.

Product is excellent. Has all the features that I wanted except PIP which was supposed to be available via firmware update in July 2015 still is not available in October 2015. The remote is less intuitive than my previous Bravia. There are fewer buttons and many more layered menus.

This is my First TV that I ever purchased for myself and got to say I went with the TV that has been around for the longest, experienced in making great quality TVs. I am very happy that chose this TV the Picture is amazing when watching Movies, Sports, TV. Also love the built in chromecast system where you stream things to the TV and can also download apps. Give this TV 10/10 Overall

This is my second Sony HD TV and it is good, good sound, good picture quality and easy to navigate through the menus.

This TV has an excellent picture, was easy to setup and all around great sound.

I have owned all Samsung flat panel TV's until I decided to try this Sony. I am very happy so far with the TV. Features are great and the picture quality if very good. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking for a reasonably priced 4K TV.

This is a pretty awesome tv. Picture quality is great once you play around with its settings. One thing I especially love about it is, you can play music from your Pandora account and there is a 'tv off' feature on the remote. When you hit that button, it turns the screen off but you can still have the music playing. This is how I now go to sleep.

One of the best picture qualities by far. The high 120 refresh rates makes blu ray even more enjoyable

First time to buy and Android TV! So far no complaints! Easy menu system and operability. Pic quality is superb!

My last TV went out and I went into BB to by a similar Tv. Asked the rep to show me the best bang for my buck and he showed me this tv. I was sold right away. Picture quality is crisp even without 4K input, Google App Store is amazing on here, sound quality could be better. Plan on buying a soundbar in the future to solve that problem. Great TV and great BB service.

Love the picture and how easy it is to set up and use. Not the old smart TV's that takes a Doctoral to use.

The tv is great. It was my first smart tv ever, but I was expecting a bit more. For instance, the remote could be better. I can be wrong but for a smart tv I would've expected a remote with more features on it. Also, some HD channels look great but others don't, but NETFLIX looks beyond amazing! Sound is good but could've been better.

Great overall tv with all key features. Good color but has a slight weakness with black in dark scenes.PS Now is a nice feature for entertaining the kids but subscription on a monthly basis is a little high at $19.99 a month when the kids only come to town once or twice a month on the weekends. Some of rentals are reasonable at $1.99 a month for four hours. Not interested in using the tv as a computer monitor however the opera browser does a good job of viewing the internet and checking email.

Was looking at tv's below $1000. Looked at Sharp, Vizio and Samsung. All of them looked pretty good straight on, but from an angle the picture looked white or color with a bad picture. Sony looked great from any angle. I asked several Best Buy Sales guys and they all pointed to Sony and their commitment to have a great picture. Regular software updates and a big processor chip were also a plus. Finally the Android run smart tv apps sealed the deal!

We originally purchased a Vizio but quickly realized it wasn't going to work for us since it was severely washed out when looking at it at an angle. We are so much happier with this TV. It looks wonderful from any angle. The picture is what I would expect for a 4K UHD TV. I won't speak for the smart TV, since we really only use it for Netflix and already had that on our game system. It is nice to be able to stream videos from a tablet to the TV.

Clear picture, vivid HD detail, easy to operate. Pretty as well as functional. I could not be happier.

It's a fantastic (and affordable) 4k TV. Don't settle for anything non-name brand when you're buying a TV - especially if you're going 4k. The color and contrast on this Sony is very accurate and it has several adjustable modes for cinema, gaming and TV.
