One of the hih speed HDMI ports did die not to long after purchace, though. This was the second one of these purchsed, the initial one came out of the box with a broken screen, butthat may not have been Sony's fault - anyone handling it could have broken it.

First tv was shipped to me doa for Christmas day. I had to return to store or wait a week to get by mail. The second tv was beautiful for 6 week and a line at the bottom of the screen showed up. I call and had bestbuy come out to fix it. The tv has bad screen and sony doesn't fix them they replace the tv so going on two weeks and still waiting. Love the picture but I will skip this tv next time.

Thank you for the 5-star rating! We're glad you like your new X85K TV. However, we are sorry if some channels are not viewable on a full screen. Allow us to help troubleshoot and resolved this issue. The reason that you end up seeing black bars or picture does not fit on the screen on some TV shows and movie is that many films and shows were, and are, made in a different ratios (usually wider) than what your TV supports. You can change the aspect ratio and WIDE mode that allows the picture to be adjusted to fill the entire screen. For more details, please refer to these links below:

Needs regular restart to resolve signal latency

Seems like processing circuitry gets bogged down and TV needs to be menu-restarted from time to time. This was needed to resolve a problem where tuner wouldn't tune in particular channels and also needed when the signal delay is excessively long. When 2 tvs connected to same antenna, it revealsas much as a 20-30 second delay compared to the regular 720 hd tv that doesn't have UHD capabilities. It's like a computer that needs restarting occasionally to make it work efficiently.

On regular TV stations picture quality is fine. We use Philo and the picture quality is different.

Unable to Connect to Internet

Total disappointment if you are planning not using a Fire Stick, Roku, Apple TV, or ETC. I get this message "Connected to Wifi, Not Connected to Internet". Yes I change my clock, updated my firmware using my Verizon cellphone network the Smart TV function worked perfectly, but when I tried to connect using a T-Mobile network got the same message, when I went back to my Wifi network got the same message again. I reset my modem, did multiple factory resets on the TV never got to connect to the Internet. Horrible and very disappointing. Went out and bought a Roku, Roku connected fine to my home WiFi. If I was rating the quality of the picture I would give it 5 stars, picture is beautiful. I have an old Sony 3D tv it still working fine for being only 240hz 1080p works perfect. I don't like the Samsung Hub I think its buggy most of the time I figure the X85K would be a perfect tv for it's smart tv function but what a huge let down and disappointment, if I new about this issue I would just got a Samsung never again Sony!

Issues, such as the device can't connect to the network, errors occur when trying to connect, or service unavailable, may be caused by several factors. If the Wi‑Fi signal on your Google TV device drops or intermittently disconnects, try a power restart or reset of your TV and your modem/router first.
