Good value, nice picture - no problems with them. This model has a feature to allow 'auto audio set up' using the remote's microphone. We tried that and the sound was actually horrible. Once I disabled that and just let it run on defaults it sounds very good. If you plan to watch off-axis the colors will wash out, but not any worse than other TVs unless you want to get an OLED. The Samsung TV's seem to be a bit more vibrant when I compared them in the store, but I prefer the Sony's as I feel their picture is more accurate and natural.

You must learn how to use and configure to get the best of it. I'm using it with my PS5 while playing CoD and definitely it runs smoothly! Sound is really great, some say you'll need a sound system but honestly I don't get why as the sound is amazing and loud, very loud!

Picture was good quality but this was when flat screens were coming on the scene. Replaced with another Sony. 50” because of space constraints. Outstanding picture quality. “You’ve come a long way baby”. Best Buy delivery and set up top notch. Geek tech explained everything about the TV capabilities and the cable. Here’s to the next 16 years!!!

We can actually see the picture in our bright sunroom and from any angle. Sound quality is excellent and we are using it without a soundbar. The responsiveness of the TV to open streaming apps is also greatly appreciated, as compared to our 2015 Sony XBR, the difference is immediately noticeable. Overall, a quality twlevision that serves multiple roles very, very well.

Nice Picture with Annoying Quirk

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We're pleased with the picture and features of this television, but we often get an error message when watching some over the air channels indicating that there is "No signal. Antenna not connected or program unavailable." Funny thing is, there is a signal, the antenna is connected and the program we're watching is available. So just clear the error message using the return button, right? Wrong. The error message can't be cleared and the channel/program indicator banner stays put as well - both messages effectively blocking 2/3 of the lower screen. Turning the TV off and back on again sometimes makes the error message and channel/program banner go away. Changing the channel several times sometimes make the channel/program banner go away but the "no signal" message remains. I can understand getting the error message if the picture is pixelating, but that's not the case. The TV's software was updated when it was first installed a few weeks ago. Sony should at least allow the error message to be cleared using a button on the remote. The "no signal" message never appears when we're streaming content, so I don't believe it would be a problem if you intend to watch cable or use streaming services. If not for the annoying "no signal" message (which we get every 2-3 days) I would likely rate the TV at 5 stars. The only other issue that might skew that rating is the sound quality. However, the sound is no better or worse than other TVs in this price range and is overcome by using a soundbar (probably even a cheap one). Bottom line: I would not recommend this TV if you are a cord cutter, but probably would recommend it for streaming content and/or cable viewers.

Perfect TV For Small Apartment

This TV has moved with me a couple of times and it's still working! Also, 50'in TV has the perfect width to where 1 person can carry it on their own with no trouble.
