50” X85 review

The Geek Squad delivery people helped with initial install without a hitch. The difference in picture quality/sharpness between my old TV and this new one was evident. The picture was much more sharper w/ the X85 when i played a Blueray DVD. The sound was also decent. It took getting used to going thru the menus in this new TV but its not too bad.

As expected, internal speakers not as rich of a sound as compared to using an external sound system. Physically much lighter than expected. Setting it up is a little involved, but there's a lot of options available. Great up-conversion quality! Nice NextGen TV (ATSC3 standard) OTA reception capability!

Still learning as I’ve always bought Samsung. I wanted 120 hz and for the price and reviews this seemed a great buy! The colors are very vibrant and the picture is very clear. The choice of brand was easy since our previous flatscreen was a Sony Bravia that gave us 25 years of trouble free service. After that, I eliminated OLEDs since our viewing room is brightly lit and the OLEDs are not as bright or brilliant. Could not be happier with our choice.

The TV could not be fixed but i received a credit from geek squad. I recommend buying the geek squad protection plan to be safe.

Set up was easy and though it is a Google TV, I ended up switching to my Apple TV box. I upgraded my old HDMI cables with 4KHDMI cables made a significant difference. The picture is great and the audio was good for a TV but I installed Klipsch speakers, with a receiver to upgrade the audio. Perfect!

The picture is amazing. Activating my streaming apps was easy. I am very happy that I replaced my old TV with this new one -- which I did because this one enabled me to access some streaming apps not available on the old one. I definitely recommend this model.
