I love having a zoom lens. I'm still learning how to use it. I just wish it was a larger zoom, Over all I love it.

The quality of the lens and the pictures which are shooted by this lens is awesome.

I was a pro using Nikons decades ago. Thought nothing could be better. Shot air shows for fun. With the software that cam with my Sony a6400, I was amazed at the quality of detail and exposure range achieved for my final image collections.

Does what it says it will do. Brings in shots from a distance for up close and personal points of view.

Purchased this as an additional lens for my Sony A5100, that came with the 16-50mm. This lens is a great performer all round from medium to long range giving a little better quality than the kit lens. This is perfect for animals, outdoor close ups, or anything that u want to get close to that isn't so close. The only thing id say that could be better is a power zoom on it. Can be difficult to hold steady when zoomed in.

I am using this lens with the Sony A7II for a variety of different scenes. I am not using it for video. The lens was on sale, so I felt that the value was there, and if I were to consider the full price of this lens, I would save a bit more and get a higher quality lens to meet my specific needs. The lens has adequate range, and is relatively sharp. The weight is suitable for a small camera body and the focus control works without any issues. Focal speed is adequate and it will focus in moderate light.

Good starter lens for aspiring sports photographer, action shots are abit underwhelming just make sure your lens and camera are compatible otherwise capabilities are not going to be great

I bought this lens with the kit lens and the a6000. This is a good deal and the lens works very well. Do not buy and adaptor with a non sony lens, you will lose the autofocus capability. This lens is excellent for this price. Sony manufacture great bodies but does not have that many lenses, but these two will do the job.

Been shooting super zoom bridge cameras a few years, so this is my first interchangeable lens camera. Bought this with a Sony A6000. This lens is obviously not as long a zoom as I am used to. It is however MUCH faster on the zoom and MUCH MUCH faster on the manual focus. The rest I can live with till my ship comes in...

I have not used this lens too much yet, but it is a great lens to have handy for when you really need to zoom in on something.

With lenses you typically get what you pay for. This is an excellent lens for a starter kit with a very respectable range.

good price, works pretty good, I use it for both zoomed out shots and potraits.

We purchased this lens to be able to take pictures of our daughter at high school soccer games. With the bleachers being so far away from the field, we needed something more than our regular camera. The lens allows us to get good shots, with the only issue being night shots. Far from an expert, but simple research found that we'd have to spend a lot more on a lens to be produce good night shots. So, lens is as expected.

I purchased this lenz because i wanted something with a better zoom.

We bought the Sony Alpha a6000 and there was a deal for getting the second lens. It was well worth it! As much as the standard lens takes beautiful images, this one gives us more flexibility in the pictures we take. It was well worth the expense. Maybe not at full price, but with the deal, it was a no brainer.
