    Just what I expected. Works with my older Sony Alpha 5000 camera but sometimes the auto focus doesn't focus on the desired spot. The camera goes into Macro mode. Tap the shutter for auto focus several times to get the correct image in focus. It is the camera not the lens.

    The kit pancake is a great lens out of the box, but this lens really allows for some creative shots with great background separation and still bright enough for some decent bokeh. Optical zoom works by compressing the background, so it's not the same as cropping when it comes to image composition.

    The 200mm clarity is superb.used it for action focuses very quickly and also used it for video. I'm amazed by the quality is the first time I had a Sony camera and I'm very happy with the lenses. And the portability is so much better than my SLR cameras

    If you are like me, you want to be able to zoom in on those small detailed things from afar - this lens will let you do that and still maintain clarity. I am in love with this lens which I use with my Sony A6000 Camera - It is very easy to mount in a flash and is exactly what I need to capture those once in a lifetime shots.

    Best Buy had a sale on that gave me $150 off this lens when I purchased my alpha 5000. Love the lens, use it all the time for sports, swim lessons and anything outdoors. Get sharp images, fast focus and it just feels solid and well built, not toy like. And it fits in a small camera bag (think hip pack) for easy portability.

    One of the reasons I got this camera was that, with the right adapter, I could use most any lense. I got an inexpensive adapter off ebay, and it worked fine to connect other lenses, and the focus helps available on the nex also worked fine. In the end, however, I didnt like the hassle of manual focus and thats why I bought this lense.

    It's a pretty good lens at a reasonable price. A must have for any beginner. The automated autofocus is amazing when paired with the Sony a6000. Great in auto focus and just as great in manual focus mode
