I nice lens if you want to compliment your kit lens. Only bought it because if I bought it with the camera and the kit lens there was a nice discount. It does it's job. Would have liked to see a lock feature on it. But the lens is solid and feels good. Feels a little heavy when you mount in on my Sony Alpha 5100. If you can get it at a discount price. Totally worth it.

Have just one concern about using this lens & Sony camera - the lens very easily gets dirt and debris in it when switching out lenses. It is really meant to be changed in a sterile environment, while we need to change back and forth outdoors, which is just not realistic. Specs get on the interior of the lens frequently, which makes routine cleaning a must.

A good enough lens. Not very fast focusing. An essential purchase in order to take advantage of what the camera has to offer. Not long enough for great images at the zoo nor fast enough for shooting indoor sports. It's just okay. A great value in the kit form. A really light and inexpensive lens for a dx camera system. I would recommend it as part of the kit purchase.

Solid construction, good mid- to long general purpose zoom for the Sony E-Mount cameras. Wish the maximum aperature was faster, but cranking up the camera ISO offsets this for most situations. Recommend buying it bundled with the Sony camera to get a substantial discount.

I use this for my children's soccer games. It's gets me closer to the action with some trade-offs. When fully zoomed, shots are often noisy unless on a very bright day. I'm still learning how to use the a6000 and this lens to get the very best shot possible. All in all, it's a lens that help you capture those priceless moments. For me, those are sports-related.

Very nice product and it works great! It is the same lens that comes in the kit, but a great one for comparison.

This lens focus' better than the one that came with the camera. Used it at a professional football game and all the pictures looked amazing never blurry and quick enough to keep up with the fast paced game.

I am just starting out in the mirrorless camera field. This lens picks up where the kit lens that came with my Sony alpha left off. Great zoom and clear photos during the day..might need a lower apature lens for that lower be light photo

I Love this lens. My son & daughter plays basketball so I use it to capture pictures at a distance with rapid speed. It captures beautiful action photos & videos. This lens is well worth every dollar.

Nice , lightweight zoom which pairs nicely with the sony 5100

I bought this lense after taking a previous trip where I was unable to capture many sights and animals due to distance. This lens was everything I needed. I was able to get monkeys and sloths high up in trees and the picture were worthy of nat geo.

I recently switched back from a point and shoot and couldn't be any happier with this lens. The fact that I now have a great camera and a clear telephoto lens is a win win! This lens has a tremendous range and will wind up being my primary lens on the camera.
