This is a great lens for sports and general shots of my kids out in the yard. The lens that came with the camera was just not strong enough for many shots. This is my default lens.

One of the biggest things I look for when buying a camera is a great zoom. And, all around this Sony camera is great, and so is this zoom that comes along with it. Compact yet powerful. Pristinely clear.

When I bought my camera, this lens was discounted and I HAD to buy it. Best Buy's bundling/packaging of products saves me tons of money and I love it! What a great deal for an amazing lens!

This was my first lens purchase and something i definately don't regret! Highly recommended for anyone that is starting out and wants to start using a compact system with interchangeable lenses.

I am a neophyte photographer. I enjoy hiking, and bought this lens so I could take pictures when I am hiking around the mountains. It does its job beautifully - easy to attach and detach, focuses well across its entire range, and takes clear, crisp pictures.

Excellent kit lens for a Sony a6400 camera. Focal length is excellent when using this lens.

And surprise Strohm a magnification this little legs does on the new Sony camera meet my Canon lenses , Would highly recommend this to any new Sony camera that uses the E lenses

I'm new to cameras and the lens works well enough for my skill level. I like how light weight it is to carry, which makes it something I will take with me when I go out.

I have a more expensive lens but because of size, weight and the capability of this lens - I find myself grabbing this one because it's easier to carry around and does a great job for mid-distances such as a beach trip, hiking trail, graduation party...

Adds much needed zoom coverage when at events such as at NFL or MLB games when sitting in the stands. Or even when watching a loved one perform a singing recital. A bit pricey but gets the job done. At least it's optional so you can keep camera cost to a minimum.

I bought this with the idea that it was lighter and less bulky than the traditional DSLR, however I opted to go for the weather proof Olympus, nothing wrong with this camera, I am just into extreme conditions and realized this would not do it for me.

A telephoto lens is a necessary tool to bring the subject matter of a particular photo interest up-close. This is an entry-level lens without the entry-level inferiority.

I am need up not using this on my vacation because the lens that came with the camera proved to be sufficient but it will have its future uses I am sure.

I use this to take photos of my son playing hockey and can get really close and clear photos. Great zoom lens for my first one. I got it bundled with the camera and very happy with it.

Don't go with cheaper lenses for this camera. Stick with the Sony product. The photographs I get with this are amazing! I am in love with my Sony and carry it more than my Nikon.

My husband and i purchased this lens together with the camera about a month ago. We both think it's a great lens. I think the camera needs the versatility that this lens offers.

Not as great as the GMaster Lens (of course), but if you're needing that reach with an A6500 or similar camera, this one is solid enough to satisfy. I wish it had a higher f/stop, but that's what you get for an under $1k lens.
