Bought as an accessory for a6000 for a Europe trip, did not take on trip, but used later at a HS graduation, works fine if there is lots of light, or for portraits in daylight, would not recommend for indoors or evening dim lighting. For action shots in low light a faster lens is needed. Would recommend as a first low cost zoom lens.

If you are planning on buying a new camera, I recommend that you also purchase the additional lens. Best buy offers a discounted package when you purchase together. I love the picture quality when I use with my Sony alpha 5000.

The product was purchased as an open box item. I found all the materials and item packed correctly. The lens is a great workhorse and works well with my Sony A6000. I took the camera to the Air & Space Museum and got some exceptional close-up shots that were in good focus.

I have a habit of always purchasing lens in the event that I need to take pictures of items that are far away. Funny, when I had my old DSLR I hardly ever used the bigger lens. However, with my new Sony camera I have used this lens a lot. Works great, no rocket science here.

Love the camera, functions well... And very user friendly! Absolutely love it, however the store in Laguna niguel did not have the camera in stock, so I paid for the camera and went to pick it up again a store in lake forest, after picking it up and driving home. I found the camera had looked used, it would t even turn on. Tried different charging cables... Nothing. I called the Laguna niguel store and was advised to bring the camera in so they can look at it.... They then suggested I take the item to a different store in Costa Mesa for an exchange, after driving to Costa Mesa for an exchange, i explain the situation and was told they wouldn't exchange it, I had receipts less than 2 hours old, they made phone calls between stores, the out come was that I purchase a new camera from Costa Mesa and return the original that was broken back to their lake forest store for a refund. I'd recommend the product to others but my buying experience was HORRIBLE

I bought this lens as part of a bundle deal with my Sony a6000 camera. I've been amazed at the pictures that I've captured with this lens. It has a great zoom and stabilizing. I travel for work almost every week and I always bring my camera and this lens with me. It has yet to disappoint.

This lens is my go to for wedding or engagement photos, it delivers crisp images because the lens has Optical SteadyShot image stabilization built in. Great color accuracy in all of my shots, also works well with fast paced sports action shots. overall great lens.

I bought this when I bought a new camera. Was taking a trip to Europe and wanted to have a good camera to capture those memories. This served as an excellent addition to us coming home with memories we will have forever.

Good rubberized grip on the zoom ring. Snug but smooth on zoom. Also, the extended length allows for a good grip on the camera if the body is too small for your hands. Have not tried with video but don;t imagine it to be a problem. No major noise that I can detect when zooming in and out.

I recently purchased a Sony a6000, which I have fallen in love with, and wanted a longer zoom lens. Didn't want to spring for the very expensive 70-200 right now, so opted for this. Not as sharp as I would like, and I expected that it would not be the fastest lens, but I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by it. I believe it would be quite adequate for most people's needs.

Great lens. I give this lens to my son who is a beginner and he loves it.

This lens was a very inexpensive way for me to add zoom capabilities to my Sony NEX – FS 100. I like to use e-mount lenses that don't require an adapter and this did the trick. I was able to successfully shoot high quality footage at a high school football game from the booth with this lens. It also provided nice depth of field for shots that I took at field level before the game.

I nice lens if you want to compliment your kit lens. Only bought it because if I bought it with the camera and the kit lens there was a nice discount. It does it's job. Would have liked to see a lock feature on it. But the lens is solid and feels good. Feels a little heavy when you mount in on my Sony Alpha 5100. If you can get it at a discount price. Totally worth it.

This isn't the best telephoto lens you can buy for Sony E-mont cameras,but it comes pretty close. Color is good and low-light is so-so, but unless you want to spend upwards of $800, thgis comes close enough for someone who doesn't hqave deep pockets.

Love the smaller size of this. Great entry level zoom.

I use this for my children's soccer games. It's gets me closer to the action with some trade-offs. When fully zoomed, shots are often noisy unless on a very bright day. I'm still learning how to use the a6000 and this lens to get the very best shot possible. All in all, it's a lens that help you capture those priceless moments. For me, those are sports-related.

I've used this lens with a Sony A6000 and it works great. It's pretty big but not too big for such a great zoom. It also has optical image stabilization which is nice. Definitely a good second lens to carry with you in addition to the stock lens that came with your camera.

This is a must have accessory for any camera enthusiasts. If you like to take pics and want that wide scenic view, this lens s perfect for that. Taking high-quality pics of oceans, country-sides, partys and get-togethers is remarkably easy with this lens.
