I recently purchased a Sony a6000, which I have fallen in love with, and wanted a longer zoom lens. Didn't want to spring for the very expensive 70-200 right now, so opted for this. Not as sharp as I would like, and I expected that it would not be the fastest lens, but I must say that I am pleasantly surprised by it. I believe it would be quite adequate for most people's needs.

Great lens. I give this lens to my son who is a beginner and he loves it.

This lens was a very inexpensive way for me to add zoom capabilities to my Sony NEX – FS 100. I like to use e-mount lenses that don't require an adapter and this did the trick. I was able to successfully shoot high quality footage at a high school football game from the booth with this lens. It also provided nice depth of field for shots that I took at field level before the game.

Nice addition to Sony Alpha cameras for amateur photographers. Bought as a bundle with a5000 camera during Xmas sales. Best for portraits with blurred background, and for bird shots with telephoto and image stabilization.

Great lens. Works great even on my full frame. Don't hesitate to buy it !

I nice lens if you want to compliment your kit lens. Only bought it because if I bought it with the camera and the kit lens there was a nice discount. It does it's job. Would have liked to see a lock feature on it. But the lens is solid and feels good. Feels a little heavy when you mount in on my Sony Alpha 5100. If you can get it at a discount price. Totally worth it.

This isn't the best telephoto lens you can buy for Sony E-mont cameras,but it comes pretty close. Color is good and low-light is so-so, but unless you want to spend upwards of $800, thgis comes close enough for someone who doesn't hqave deep pockets.

Love the smaller size of this. Great entry level zoom.

I use this for my children's soccer games. It's gets me closer to the action with some trade-offs. When fully zoomed, shots are often noisy unless on a very bright day. I'm still learning how to use the a6000 and this lens to get the very best shot possible. All in all, it's a lens that help you capture those priceless moments. For me, those are sports-related.

I've used this lens with a Sony A6000 and it works great. It's pretty big but not too big for such a great zoom. It also has optical image stabilization which is nice. Definitely a good second lens to carry with you in addition to the stock lens that came with your camera.

This is a must have accessory for any camera enthusiasts. If you like to take pics and want that wide scenic view, this lens s perfect for that. Taking high-quality pics of oceans, country-sides, partys and get-togethers is remarkably easy with this lens.

I recently switched back from a point and shoot and couldn't be any happier with this lens. The fact that I now have a great camera and a clear telephoto lens is a win win! This lens has a tremendous range and will wind up being my primary lens on the camera.

This is great for a kit lense. I have to admit, I was not expecting as much as I received with this lense. I love it, great quality

whether or not you are an industry pro, do yourself a favor and make the investment. having varying lenses allow for you to get even more out of your camera. this lens is used frequently and has very solid mechanisms for fluidity. great lens !

This an outstanding lens. I use this mainly for nature and airshow pictures. When zooming in, the lens and camera (Sony NEX-5) works beautifully for great shots. My only complaint, for the price of the lens, give me a lens tube to protect it when not on the camera body.

Zoom is great. Lens is easy to remove and replace. Easy to use.

A good quality telephoto lense for my Sony A6000 camera that I use occasionally. If you are a professional, you probably want a better lense, but for the rest of us, this will get you a quality picture.

This lens is perfect for capturing distant shots and creating the depth of field type of photography (blurred background! It is not heavy at all easy to change lense for your camera also!!! Highly recommended for the Sony a5100

Good focus and stability great for sports and landscape photography

I've used the lens a few times and I like it. It's nothing special but it does a decent job for far away objects. I use it for basic further away objects and its done well. I've read about better lenses for the more serious photographer. I bought a packaged deal and this lens was included at $150 less than buying the lens by itself.
