He has pulled in some great photos from the observation lounges of various airports. Although we haven't done any enlargements, the photos seem sharp. There doesn't seem to be a lot of noise and it performed well under night time conditions.

I have used the lens for nature, architectural, sports and general family pictures. The same for the movie mode. The photo quality more than meets my needs. Others are much better equipped to give the reader technical measurements and criticism than me. The lens meets my needs completely. Coupled with an A6000 I was able to take full telephoto movies and pictures of a lacrosse game at an outdoor stadium; slightly before sunset to after sunset and stadium light with full resolution and natural consistent color. The automatic settings did nothing odd with the ISO setting. The players were not blurred the ball was blurred slightly. Useful effective lens.

solid lens but there might be better choices

Focal length range a but disappointing- but great lens for the discounted price. You might be better off with a faster, wider focal range and yes, more expensive lens. But probably a great deal at less than $200!
