It is really meant to be changed in a sterile environment, while we need to change back and forth outdoors, which is just not realistic. Specs get on the interior of the lens frequently, which makes routine cleaning a must.

An essential purchase in order to take advantage of what the camera has to offer. Not long enough for great images at the zoo nor fast enough for shooting indoor sports. It's just okay. A great value in the kit form. A really light and inexpensive lens for a dx camera system. I would recommend it as part of the kit purchase.

He has learned how to use the different lenses to get the different effects wanted with his photos. This has saved him money from buying another camera.

This lens picks up where the kit lens that came with my Sony alpha left off. Great zoom and clear photos during the day..might need a lower apature lens for that lower be light photo
