Still had light bleed.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I asked about the light bleed before I bought the 55"900c and they said it was a problem with the older TVs but not the new ones. You guessed it....Still a problem. Also, the TV would not search the internet. I guess you have to Google how to get the internet button on your TV. What a waste of my time getting the TV up on the wall just to take it down and return it for a SAMSUNG. DO NOT BUY THIS TV. Sony should give discount card so customers can get a different TV.

Great Design with major picture flaw!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this 4k as a replacement to my Samsung 4k that had an internal failure after one month of ownership. Associate was very knowledgeable when showing me the display and was really excited to get it home and use it. After getting the tv set up there was light bleeding all over the edges of the screen, Took it back and found out from a manager that it was a manufacturing defect that was corrected in November last year yet Sony is still shipping and they are still selling the defective models. The only way to find out if it's not a defective model is to open up the box and look at when the tv was manufactured. Ended up purchasing a completely different 4k. For a 4K that cost a rather large amount of money I expected much better than this.

Sony XBR 55x900C
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased a Sony XBR 55 900C in March of 2016. The picture was great for the 20 hours of use. Unfortunately, w purchased the Sony 65 inch last month before we used the 55 inch again. We turned on the TV July 1st and nothing. Call Sony and they said that a rep would call in 3-5 business days. No one called for 7 days. When they called, they said they didn't have the part. What? No one ever looked at the TV. A week later Sony called and would replaced the TV, after I sent a copy of the receipt and a couple of pictures of the TV. Great! I will get a new tv to replace my new tv. The problem is that since it was over 90 days of purchase, I would get a certified TV. That means I will get someone else's TV who probably had the same problem and now I have his headache. I told the rep I didn't want a used TV to replace my 20 hour of use TV. Too bad! I'm stuck with a whatever TV. I will called Best Buys today to see if I'm within the time period to return the 65 inch TV. This is the first time I purchased Sony TV's in years. The tech who installed the TV's recommended a Samsung because if I had issues at all, I would get a new TV to replace. ! Big mistake by going with a Sony! Now I hope I can return the 65 inch and I know for sure Sony won't be any other room in our house.

very disappointed!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a big Sony fan, even after reading some -ve comments about this model I still went for this. TV worked fine for me till I watched 3D content. TV picture quality was incredible, but after watching 3D content I faced light bleeding issue in right bottom corner, which I found very annoying to me, so I returned the TV to BB as it was still in 15 days return policy, and after discussing with Magnolia person at BB I came to know that complete 90C series have the same issue, So I gave up this model.

Light Bleed is Bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a shame that both Best Buy and Sony continue to sell this unit, despite the bad light bleed issues. I just had this delivered, and yes, the light bleed still is bad. Going to return it first chance I get. What a disappointment.

Light blooming
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got a set with light blooming on the bottom. Especially in the bottom left corner. Screen lighting "flickers" during certain lighting scenes.

Light bleeding!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I usually stay away from things that have more than a few common bad reviews. I was hoping Sony resolved the problem but they obviously didn't. Sony is apparently telling customers that this is within their specs.....So for a $1000 you get to stare at light spots along the borders?? Sounds fair. So now I get to pack this tv up and bring it back to the store. Thanks for wasting my time Sony

TV is garbage - Sony service is terrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.8 mos after purch, TV won't turn on. Called Sony over a month ago, set up a service call (told me they had 'ordered parts' without even seeing the TV), still waiting on a repair. They say the parts aren't in yet. This TV also has severe ghosting problems, so in a darkened room the picture appears to be foggy. Best Buy is no help, since it's beyond their return policy period. Two of these TV's sitting in Geek Squad bay on my last Best Buy visit, which tells me they know they are junk, but still continue to sell them to this day. Expensive TV, sitting on the floor, unusable. No more Sony products for me!!

Light leakage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the review after the purchase ( my bad) but they were bang on. The light leakage happens around the corners. First thing I checked as the TV came in and there it was. Sending it back and waiting for some better TV discounts on the updated TVs. This is a 2015 model
