A bit of a Lemon

Two new parts in to fix it and the TV starts with a gray screen and high pitch sound. It is now going to be exchange for another. What a pain! I still have a 1992 SONY monster TV and YES, it still works well. Not sure what happened to SONY TVs today.

I had no luck with 850d model

First one I took home had a great picture no back light bleed no dead pixels 2 weeks went by turn TV on big *** dead pixel in the middle of the screen I thought no biggie just return and grab another... next one 2 dead pixels plus horrible back light bleed returned.. next one dead pixel plus even worse back light bleed then the last returned.. next one horrible back light bleed returned.. I gave up on this model and went with the 930d and so far has been great for me.

Sound problems and awkward remote

I spent two hours on the phone with a technician two days after I brought the TV home, who wanted to send me a new one. The sound did not work and when it did, it had a tendency to not sync with the lips of the pictures on the screen. The speakers are at the bottom of the screen and sounded disconnected from the picture. Picture seemed dark. Set up was not intuitive and the remote also not intuitive.

One dead pixel

Didn't work-out of the box

Great image but functionality is not good

Not that good a buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.It seems that the TV is hard to connect to internet but google is watching you on this one as it has not given me an options to be private even though I bought it to watch things. I could not use the TV until I gave into Google to be able to use the TV. Picture is good but getting the full use of the systems and picture would take more equipment that could have been engineered into the TV to make it stand alone.

Not as good as i expected

Sony is bringing it

I started to compare the two. This one is a major improvement. From the color, contrast, and clarity overall picture quality it's definitely best in it's class. The design and the cable management in the back where the stand goes definitely helps with the cleanliness of cords. Leonard, the Sony Expert at store 1051 was definitely knowledgable and helpful. Even though I wasn't ready to buy, I know where I'm going and who I'm talking to. I can't wait to have this in my house. Great job Sony.

Worst retail experience I have had in a long time!

The whole process was painful, lots of long wait times on hold with customer service and I truly CAN NOT recommend Best Buy, this should have been simple and it was anything but.

Not that impressive picture quality for price

I finally settled on this Sony over the Samsung of similar price based off tons of reviews. The first one of these malfunctioned and would pixelate or freeze so I returned it, now very skeptical but was not given much choice but to exchange for the same one. The current one has not pixelated yet but it will often not turn on and when it finally does it reboots from the very start and goes through the whole sony and android start up. This then deletes all my wifi settings, netflix password, etc. This has even happened while playing xbox one. It just shut off and rebooted with the 4 spinning colorful android boxes. On top of all that, my main disappointment with this TV is I really do not feel the picture quality is what it should be for over $1000. I even purchased a 22 speed HDMI cable and still have not been that impressed. The graphics for video games are great but I use it for gaming maybe 20% of the time and watching TV especially sports the other 80%. If you strictly want to use this TV for playing xbox one or PS4 then I would recommend it. For everyday cable viewing I would not.
