    The absolute worst purchase I have ever made. I will give it one star for the picture quality. Whoopdy doo. But that hardly makes up for all the issues I've been having with it. Ever since Sony did an automatic update ~4mo's ago we have had nothing but problems with it ... and we have only had our tv for 7 months. Whenever I turn the tv on it takes anywhere from 5-20min to even load then once it does I try to open an app like Hulu or Netflix and it will automatically restart on its own. So it can take me up to 30min to even be able to watch something. I tried playing a game on it and it took 10min to load the game, then it restarted on its own. Then once I finally got it to open it had such a terrible lag that I couldn't even play it. Maybe we just got the bad "egg" of the bunch because it seems like everyone else has great things to say about it. But I have read on forums that others have had this same issue for quite some time now... just do your research!

    don't get direct tv if you purchased this TV, direct tv does not support 4k on this tv..........overall great tv and love the picture

    Great TV but No Bluethooth Audio

    I love this tv the menu is a bit clunky. One thing I REALLY don't like about this is you can't pair Bluetooth headphones so dumb most tvs allow this and for the price you pay you would think this tv would too. I got this tv for my bedroom and the watching tv in bed with headphones was important for me. I ended up having to buy a Bluetooth transmitter. Kodi runs great on this tv with Zero lag which is awesome.

    Very good picture quality. But the picture and sound do not sync up. Some channels are worse than others. Some are a full second (which is a very long time) out of sync. I thought it might be the cable box so we changed boxes. It doesn't matter if the audio is run through the TV or the sound bar. There is no way to adjust it in the settings.

    Sound Quality ruins Experience

    After using the TV for over 4 months, the sound quality ruins the experience. I cannot hear dialogue, and have to keep changing the sound for each different show. I got a low end sound bar, but I think the problem is with the set. I tested a $700 sound bar, but it seems to be coded to separate EQ levels in a way, that is not constant over various types of shows. I have a 10 year old Sharp Aquos and rarely change the sound, its just clear, all the time. Movies, TV, commercials, music. All the same. With the Sony, nothing is the same and I have to mess with the stupid sound bar constantly. I think its made for movie effects, but if you live in an apt, this will bother the neighbors. You either cannot hear the dialogue or commercials and explosions wake up the dead. I posted a review previously and Sony replied a standard response that showed they did not even understand the problem. I think if I spent another $1,000 for a soundbar, I would still have this problem. I just want a TV I can set and listen to all the time. Not fight with to be able to hear it.

    I purchased a Sony 4k tv, and 1 year later after paying 1500 dollars a red line appears from top to bottom, tv ruined. I thought I was buying quality. the worse part the warranty expired 1 mth. ago and Sony will not do anything to help. teck guy from geek quad said bad panel and Sony after doing test agreed its the tv defaulting but still no support. Customers beware because after reviewing reviews there is still work to be done on these 4k tv's. And always do a warranty because the cost to fix the problem is buying a brand new television. Customer totally dissapointed!

    sony 55 inch 120 hz 4k

    well i got this tv less then a year ago. its an ok tv i have my computer hooked up to it an set to 2160p but i have noticed when im browsing the net or watching videos or playing games sometimes part of the screen flicker. i have read up on it a lil its the adaptive dimming or lighting its garbage. some areas of the screen will try to adjust while playing games or watching movies or scrolling through a website resulting in the flickering in some areas. there is a couple options you can turn off to make it less noticeable by turning off the black adjust and adv. contrast enhancer it helps to reduce the flickers. cuz there is no option to turn off the adaptive dimming. i also turned off the junk light sensor too cuz that just makes the screen dim. I would not recommend this tv to a friend unless they can update the firmware to have the option to turn off adaptive dimming.

    Just bought this today and there is MAJOR light bleed in the upper and lower corners. I also have the 65" 850C so I ran the same movie on both to compare.. same source.. and the 850C is black as black.. the 850D is almost white there is so much light bleed. Its depressing... I'm calling tomorrow to see how they want to handle this return. I'm not sure if I want to go up to the 930 due to it being $600 more or hang my plasma back up .

    Good picture and plenty of inputs. Menus are slow and Remote is awkward. Built in tuner did not work. Would not receive any OTA signals.

    Software on the TV Makes it Unuseable

    This is the worst TV I have ever owned. The software is terrible. I was initially excited about it running Android OS, but something went horribly wrong in the integration. The TV has issues with external speakers and never defaults to the external speakers, leading to manual switching every time. The TV will also reboot randomly when trying to access Netflix. We have also had several issues connecting to Netflix as well as the network.

    Exchanged a Sony xbr55x900c for this new model because the 900c had light bleed. This model is just so so at best and not worth $1600. Going to return and pay the extra $$ for an LG oled
