    I bought it from Best Buy two years ago and I I compared to Samsung and I found Sony has better picture but after two years unfortunately I couldn't turn it on. my father has same problem so today about a Samsung and my father bought a Samsung to of course I called to the company but they said it is very expensive if you want to fix it and warranty cover it just for one year so there is a no warranty on it .

    got the Sony to replace and upgrade my Vizio, it is just average, and does not do good in dark rooms, the UHD was really no better then my HD, ended up with the LG 7700

    Terrible TV and worse customer service

    I bought this TV in August 4 months ago. I have had multiple problems with it. Had to reboot it a couple months ago. Now as of 9 days ago the TV won't work at all. I've talked to Sony multiple times and keep getting the run around. They won't replace it. They won't refund my money. They said they would over night me the parts and a technician would call. 9 days I've been dealing with this. No parts over nighted been waiting 5 days for those. No technician has called. They have treated me like trash. I've talked to them maybe 7 times. 3 times today and still nothing has been done or solved. I am done with Sony. Terrible way to run a company. 1200$ piece of trash is hanging on my wall. I will never buy another TV from them ever.

    Disappointing

    bought this TV and returned it a few days later. Picture quality with cable TV was awful, and optical audio out connection would not play sound through my Sony receiver. Couldn't get help from my Best Buy store or Sony online materials. I have owned many Sony products and always had a good experience, but not this time. Disappointing, frustrating, and time-consuming.

    Sell a $999 aspirin for $999 headache?

    I bought this a month ago at Best Buy and regret purchase. This 55" 4K HDR television was anything BUT a best buy. Just a month in, the image went dark and has not returned. The sound remains unaffected. There is supposedly a fix: hold power button down for 10 seconds and release to reset software or something. Results? Nothing. I spent 10 minutes with Best Buy and then another 25 minutes with SONY customer, who eventually conceded their diagnostic systems were down. Either I'm not the only person having issues or this was a redirection. If I wanted to watch a black screen I would have painted a black rectangle on my wall. Their customer service people are supposed to be calling me back, but I have my doubts. Overpaid for this headache. I wrote up this review on the SONY website and they promptly rejected it. Wonder why?

    Will not continuously connect to wifi do not buy

    I purchased this TV for the sole reason that it was a SMART TV. So you can use wifi right? Wrong. This tv will not stay connected to wifi. When ever it is turned off it will lose its connection for good. I called the company and they said to "unplug the tv from the wall leave it sit for 45 seconds and plug it back in to restart it and the wifi will work" they also mentioned that this is a common problem and not to be worried... well I have to unplug my tv from the wall every single time I use it. This TV has been the biggest waste of my time. If I'm going to spend $1000 on a SMART TV it needs to actually work without unplugging it every time I use it. I highly suggest buying a different brand seeing that this is a "common problem" with Sony TV's.

    The worst purchase I have ever made

    If a chance were given I would give this junk 0 star tv is only 4 days old reboots by it self 5 times a day picture quality is ok only in day light but in dark and viewing angle looks nothing better than 200 dollar tv android OS is so slow and lugging my 30 dollars android box that I bought on eBay is much better and responsive than this junk you can not calibrate the picture on Netflix and youtube only on HDMI and Cetera previous to this one I had a curved Samsung for 3 years and never had a single issue with it and was only 1080P and pic quality was much better than this junk this is not staying in my living room I am exchanging it for Samsung TOMORROW

    ...and the TV cannot turn on. Tried Sony support, no luck. Was suggested to talk to Sony Warranty dept as the TV is still under warranty. Over all the TV is good, but this problem so early on was not expected. :-/

    Don't do it !!!

    I'm already on my second one. I thought the first one was just a lemon, and was finally able to have Sony replace it. The sound and picture are not in sync. The screen occasionally goes black, and the TV goes off completely on its own at least once every hour or so. I have to reboot this beast almost every day to get it to do anything. I will soon be tossing it to the curb and getting a Samsung.

    Purchased the Sony Bravia XBR55X850D 55" 3 years ago....6/16. It was working great up until a few days ago when the volume just gave out right in the middle of watching TV. Though it was the channel at first but as I changed the channels I realized it was the TV . Now I need to find a TV repair company.....no, I didn't buy the extended warranty :(

    Buyer Beware

    I'll cut right to the chase-this TV is clouding very badly. If you watch movies/play video games at night in a dark room-- DO NOT purchase this TV, period. Trust me- you can google "sony x850d clouding" & you will find others complain about the same thing and there is even a video on YouTube describing the problem. The corners are literally glowing and on dark scenes... omg you'll hate it.

    Wi-Fi connection issue

    I bought this TV a couple of weeks ago . Turned on TV , typed my Wi-Fi password . TV said unable to connect. Tried several times and no dice. Returned TV to store. They stated since I have Comcast internet box . I need to Spend another $400 on Wi-Fi gear to get the TV online. I don't think so . Will not buy anymore Sony TV's for this reason.

    I am the only person who watches this TV and I don't turn it on very much. Sony is supposed to be a great name, but my TV broke down after only 3 years. Yes, I know it is out of warranty, but an occasionally used TV ought to last longer than this.

    Terrible Operating System and frustrating to use. Every time I turn on the TV the WiFi drops out and I need to wait for connection, and YouTube App is never available, I need to install and remove the app every time I want to use the app. FRUSTRATING!!!! Don't buy this TV

    Bad Sony support

    After 2 years the panel will fail and is irrepairable, so make sure you purchase the 5 yr geek squad protection. Sony does not back their product after the manufacturer warranty is up no matter how much you spend. I will never purchase a Sony TV again.

    Network Connectivity Nightmare

    Multiple firmware updates, countless hrs with tech support and still troubleshooting network connectivity wired and wireless. Such a disappointment for a tv of this caliber.
