I love this TV. It looks beautiful, is easy to use and makes everything look cleaner. I picked this one after reading a lot of reviews about true 120hz and all that. This was the highest rated in its price range and I can see why. I've downloaded HBONow on the tv and it runs like a dream. Worth every penny!

Actually had purchased a 55 inch Samsung from Costco but the motion blur and the picture seemed to skip a lot. Samsung just 60Hz so I know that was the issue. Did some more research on multiple sites and this Sony was rated good for sports, movies and streaming. Purchased it and couldn't be happier.

At this price point, this TV can't be beat. I also own a Sony KDL800C 55" from a year ago, and when it came time to add a 2nd 55" TV to the house, I considered buying the same 800C. I am happy I paid the extra $200 for the 4k features and new Android OS. This TV is amazing with live TV using the upscaling as well as native 4k content, which is jaw dropping. Love it.

Nice tv at a good price for Sony. 999$ 55" 4K ultra. Although I didn't know and was not told during the sale that 4 k ultra transmission isn't even available for the tv I just bought. Maybe in a couple years, but then I'll be ready.....very nice 1080p pic but if that's all your going to be able to get now, you may want to choose a 1080 tv for half the price and see if the 4K technology ever really materializes! Many think it's cost prohibitive.

After telling my husband that I really didn't want a giant TV in our living room, I finally decided to buy one for him as a birthday gift. Based on the reviews here on BestBuy, and after doing some research on other websites, I decided that this purchase was best suited for our needs and budget. We use it primarily for streaming content on our AppleTV, watching movies on our BluRay player, and watching local TV channels. The picture looks great for all three purposes. There are several different picture setting that you can play with to achieve the best picture possible--my husband did all the tinkering until he got it just right. It was a very good purchase and luckily I got it on sale. One thing that we did end up doing was buying the Sony sound stand to improve the sound quality. The TV speakers got the job done, but the sound stand really brings depth.

This Tv has numerous options and the picture blew me away at the store, seeings how it was a Sony with built in Playstation and all the other apps on it, this will fill all my needs for years to come! It was on sale when I purchased it so what a bonus. For an awesome 4k tv like this for $1000 I feel like I got a great bargain!

I went to Best Buy to purchase a Samsung TV and walked out with this one!! Spoke to 4 different sales consultants and looked at the two TV side by side. Without a doubt this had the better pic quality and a TRUE refresh rate rather than hidden low rate.

This is my first 4k TV and I love it. The picture is great and the sound is good for built in speakers. I performed heavy research and reviews on this Sony 55" HD 4k television vs. the Samsung 55" HD 4k. The reviews were very similar. The product capabilities and features were very similar. My friend had a Samsung which the picture was great, but when I saw a fast moving scene, I was very disappointed to see the lag or delay with this fast moving picture. I decided to go with the Sony as my research showed their products do not have this type of issue. So far I have had the TV for 5-6 weeks and am completely happy. I also bought PlayStation IV and the gaming experience on this television is at a different level.

I wanted a 4k smart TV for under $1000 and after a few months of research and waiting for prices to drop (new TV models tend to come out about April, so the previous years models go on sale) I finally purchased the 810C. TV has bright vivid colors, including dark blacks, and the 4k pixelation is amazing. The apps are android based (fantastic) and netflix has some 4k content. I have a sonos soundbar (also recommend) so I can't speak to the sound quality, but I assume it's superb too. Eagerly awaiting the start of football season and release of more 4k content!

has a great picture with bunny ears and very great picture with 4K streaming from Netflix. Although it is slow with changing channels and has done some wierd things like turn itself off, go to the home screen while turning channels and completely freeze up where I had to unplug the tv to get it to work again. After a few weeks of watching tv and Netflix I haven't had those problems again.

Sony has really set the standard with it's Bravia line of HDTV's and then WOW they just raised the bar even higher with this AWSOME Ultra 4k HD TV. It's like looking right out of your window every detail is vivid and clean. This is the entry level model and it's comes packed with all the bells and whistles ... android O.S. smart with voice command. Real 240 refresh rates that boast even higher for gammers. It's just one of those hidden secrets that show up every know and then. Best buy sales made it cost effective.

This ia a great tv for the price, I purchased a lg 60 inch and was disappointed in the motion blur and flicker, this tv has none that I could notice. Sound is ok, but I purchased a klipsch sound bar and it was a clearly better. The Netflix button on the remote is great quick access.

I went into Best Buy on Black Friday with a certain TV in mind. I had researched and was ready for the purchase. Got to the store, and they were out of stock of the one I wanted. I spoke to a Magnolia Sales Associate, and he pointed out that even if he ordered it, it was not on sale. He then offered to help me find a TV that would really suit me and fit my needs, budget, and wants. He asked me what I would use it for, such as movies, gaming, TV, streaming, etc. I told him all of the above. I would use my Cable Box, Xbox One, and would love to have it in 4K as well as a smart TV. He asked if I had ever looked at the Sonys. I said I had, and would consider them. That is when he sold me this amazing TV. I have had no issues, and it has been great from the start!

I have been impressed with my purchase. Sony has a great television and is as vivid as I have seen. Between all the televisions that I saw it was the best buy. It wasn't the lowest of all but more features than the rest.

I bought a Sony 48" W600B that was on sale for under 500$ so I wasn't expecting much from it except for a decent picture and great gaming lag which is what it provided but actually the PQ was pretty good just viewing angle was horrible. Now I could buy a high end Samsung like the Js8500 but at that point I would rather have OLED but not worth purchasing right now so I don't want to waste all my money on what I consider junk tech unless it involves FALD which still cost you an arm and leg from Samsung and Sony and they still don't come close to OLED tech. So long story short I exchanged for the Sony 55X810C 4k (blah blah blah gimmick blah) thinkinh it would provide a better PQ, wel motion wise yes it did but the picture was not leaps and bounds or anything just a small improvement plus lag is higher. When watching letterbox movies (movies with the horizontal, suppose to be black bars on top and bottom for you laymans) the letterbox bars are NOT even close to black, they seem to be washed out with a blue tinge to them especially during dark scenes. The uniformity of the panel isn't to nbad no major clouding but going around the entire panel along the edges is what they consider light bleed , most apparent at night with night scenes and it either makes everything look purple tinged, faded, and worst of all makes scenes like Gravity or Interstellar look like space is green only on the edges of the picture. I am pretty disappointed in the TV and its mostly due to the fact its letterbox bars are terrible IMO, even during the day they look washed out. Tried every setting, adjusted for hours on end and cant find a decent pic I like. Blacks are either crushed or too light and faded colors are too bright or not bright enough. And to top this all off the tv froze 3 times already just adjusting the picture, and its slow as snails. I wil be returning the set due to its typlical LED tech, and other issues. Samsung shows no promise of being better with their oversaturated colors, though they have better input lag than Sony at the moment. Samsung also uses about 10 different panels so its luck of the draw with them plus none of their TVs that have good motion are even closely priced with the x810c. Its either spend 1400$ on a 48JU7100 (bad uniformity and tons of clouding) or bumo up to the JS8500 which is 1799$. At that point a 1080p LG OLED EG9100 would destroy all. But to spend 2k on a 1080p OLED with known issues is not worth it either. How LED stayed in business is beyond me. All in all I miss plasma ALOT!! May not as been good as OLED black and colors but motion and everything else take the cake.. Thanks for your time. FYI before owning this TV I have owned nothing but Plasma, have a Pioneer KURO 5020 from 2009 that beats the pants off this Sony and also had a Panasonic 65 VT60 before bumping to the 60ZT60 Panny plasma. Too bad some quality issues happened with the ZT60 like major IR (which my KURO never experienced big draw back for Panny) and the screen was separating. If there was an entry level plasma right now I would buy it over this junk.

If you look up any professional review of this TV, it does confirm that if you are looking for a TV with a great, crisp picture quality, this is the TV for you! There is a lag on the sound, which is why I recommend getting a sound bar, which will keep up with the TV, but it's not absolutely necessary. It is visible at times, though. We originally bough the Samsung 6500 TV, but this produces an IMMENSELY better picture! Our apartment is rather dark from shades, etc. and with the Samsung 6500 there was a terrible black level - omitting these gray orbs on the screen that were very noticeable. The SONY is MUCH better and doesn't have this issue at all! Great TV for the price point.
