Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Can not get closed captions to show on Charter cable.programs. Closed captions work fine on Netflix but not on cable. Charter says it is the fault of the tv set.!!!

Good entry level 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good TV. The picture is beautiful. The "interface", however, is not the greatest. It is difficult to use and access some of the "smart features" .

Best TV, great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We planned to buy a TV and wanted to learn more about the 4K models. We had the pleasure of being helped by a very knowledgeable sales person. She helped us decide on this TV based on our wants and needs. Easy to set up, pristine picture, easy to use SMART features. We are sooooo pleased with this purchase. FYI to TV buyers, go with a model that has 120 hz, it is worth the extra $.

Not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv from Best Buy. I thought sony was a pretty good name so I went for it. This tv has had nothing but issues since purchase and sonys response is always unplug and plug back in. I have had to do this nonless than 8 times in the 2 months i have had it. I will not purchase another sony due to their poor customer service and poor quality if product.

Amazing 4K
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before getting this TV I got the Vizio M55-C2 4K TV, that one went back in 2 days as the image quality was bad and worse of all the up-scaling sucked. After looking around, and reading a lot reviews I picked up the Sony, and boy am I glad that I did. The image quality is just awesome, and the upscaler is really great. Keep in mind that there's not much 4K content out there, so you need a TV with a good upscaler. Here is how I would break it down: Picture quality - 10/10 - Everything looks great. Sound (for a TV) - 8/10 - I think it sounds great, but can be improved. Features - 10/10 - Has all the features that you would want in a smart TV. Android TV - 6/10 - Android TV once setup works great. The initial update took almost forever to complete, but once done everything works great. NOTE for wall mounting: The TV does not come with any screws that will allow you to mount the TV to a bracket for mounting. I used some 6mm bolts that were 12mm long. Worked perfect, and got the TV mounted without any issues. For the price, I'm really happy. Also PS4 content, and Blu Rays just look fantastic.

Excellent Value for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been a Samsung fan for a long time until this product hit my eyes. Did extensive research and finalized this TV. Sony has done an excellent job with this product.. 4K rocks.. 4 HDMI, 3 USB and the Android OS is just the best.. It is going to take years for samsung to match this product Picture Quality at its best, I have a bose sound system so I really comment on the TV's sound. It has all that I need, I dont believe I will be using 3D so did not see the point in spending for it. Excellent value for the money

OK Picture, poor sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is OK but not nearly as good as the 3K Sony we bought art the same time. Even with brightness set at full, colors do not pop nearly as well s with the 3K. Sound quality is poor. Seems to be a common issue with Sony products. Probably want you to buy their sound bar

Solid Buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This set has a nice picture, decent amount of apps, and is a great value for a 55 inch 4k television. 4k content, although rare, looks great. As does upscaled 720p and 1080p. Pretty decent input lag for all us gamers out there and no noticeable motion blur while viewing sports or those fast moving action sequences in movies and games. The blacks and whites are no where near plasma or OLED levels, but they are close enough for me and more than likely will be for 95 percent of consumers. Plenty of app options for most. Built in Chromecast, the ability to subscribe and play Playstation 3 games is pretty cool. (You do have to purchase a dualshock controller if you do not own one and the monthly fee.) Plenty of viewing and gaming options through the Google Play app and is overall definitely a step up from my 2013 model Samsung 1080p. The downsides of this TV are not a deal breaker for me, but they are there. Some of these may not apply to everyone either, just my experience. The corners are pretty dark in some scenes, and the sound isn't very good at all. A problem I solved with a low priced Insignia soundbar.(Which is another great budget buy) The sensor for the remote is located directly on the bottom center of the set, which is far too easily obstructed if sitting on a stand and not wall mounted. There are times when the remote doesn't seem to communicate with the TV at all, and that is without the sensor being obstructed. I am not sure if it is a TV problem or a remote issue. This doesn't happen all the time, and it is usually only a 10 or 15 second problem, but it gets annoying. My biggest complaint with this set is that I cannot use Netflix without having to reset the set by unplugging and plugging it back in, at least every other day. I keep getting an error code, and this is really frustrating. Again, not a deal breaker, and it may be a defect with my TV since I haven't seen many others complain about this issue, but when you make a large purchase like this, you do expect it to be fully functional. I will be calling Sony about this. If not for this problem, I would rate this a 4.5 because of the value of this otherwise very solid televsion.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HDMI stopped working within a month after purchase. Prior to that the TV has been outstanding. Great picture, Excellent value!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally placed an order with another online retailer for a 60" Samsung KS8000 that I had researched in a BB store. The KS800 is insanely bright, has HDR and rich color but terrible motion handling. Plus, a lot of other technology that is hardly discernable by the eye unless you are 2 feet from the screen. In the confusing TV market today, there is too much placed on brand premium and features that you won't notice. So, after feeling some pre-delivery buyers regret, I revisted BB for reassurance. I saw the Sony 700D and was intrigued by the picture quality, motion clarity and price. I went home and did some additional research (rtings.com) when I came across the 810C. It has better specs than the 700D at a better price. I canceled the KS8000 and ordered the 810C from BB and am SOOO glad I did. The clarity is amazing. Brightness is totally in line with what is needed in a bright room. Color is rich. Upscaling is great. 4K streams are impeccable. I stopped using my Roku 3 (1080p) in favor of the native Sony 4k apps. I can see a huge difference. This is an awesome TV for the price. Cons: No HDR but you won't miss it and no bluetooth connectivity for my Sony bluetooth headphones. Hmmm. On sale as of this writing. Buy it!

Sony Brand just lost on me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought Sony 55 inch and a 65 inch LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TVs and had multiple issues several times. For the price these units costs, these issues are not worth it. Just go for cheaper Television sets.

Great TV! Please read if you are having trouble
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV. Great picture, decent sound. I see a lot of people are complaining about the screws not fitting or missing screws and are unable to mount the stand to the bottom of the TV. I'm hoping this will help...**IF you have the 55" you should have only 1 small bag with 6 of the small screws, you don't need the larger screws, if you read above the description the larger 2 screws are ONLY if you have the 65". Second you must place the little mounts onto the stand first, screw them together, then stick the mounts and stand into the TV and screw them onto the TV. If you don't do it in that order, the stand will not fit and the screws will seem like they don't fit and the mount will just fall off. **** Make sure you are reading the 55" TV model, the instructions fare for the 65" and 55". IF you are reading the instructions very carefully you won't have issues with "screws missing" or the stand falling off.
