Had a great Best Buy Associate, Austin, who suggested the Sony for their great picture and the high end electronics they use throughout their product line. Compared to Samsung, LG, Vizeo and Sharp this has the most realistic and comfortable picture. Not the brightest but the most realistic with sharp detail and vibrant colors. Had a problem where after 2 hours or so of watching it would pop loudly and go black. Sometimes it would turn right back on and other times it would have to wait an hour or so. Went back to see Austin and he arranged for a new one to be delivered to the house in a couple days (they were out of stock after we bought ours) and the Geek Squad brought out our new TV and took back the old one and it is perfect! Very easy to set up including syncing to my Sony tablet and Samsung phone. This is not the cheapest television but it is the best value for clarity, sharpness, color and real comfortable to watch picture quality. Fantastic purchase and great customer service to back it up. Very pleased!

This is a very good buy for me, got it for $850 with the ps4 bundle. Still messing around with the picture settings. PS3 and ps4 looks great on the tv. Initial firmware updates took a very long time though.

For the money this is the best TV under $2000. With a little tweaking this TV has a fantastic picture with the only negatives being that this TV doesn't have local dimming and no HDR which weren't deal breakers for me. Everything about this TV from gaming to watching movies has been way better than expected.

This TV is a great start to the 4K realm. Although there isn't much 4k content around right now, it does upscale my blu-rays and itunes movies pretty well. Now, this TV definitely doesn't look high-end as the bezel is more plastic like and the TV itself is thicker than higher cost models. If you can get past this, this tv to me is great! If you like a tv that's bright, this one doesn't go that high. If you intend to put this tv in a bright room, this is not the tv for you. I'm not really fond of the android interface system. It's still slow to me, but it's getting better. Luckily, I stream most of my media on my Apple TV. Lastly, calibrate to get the best outta your tv!

I upgraded to this Sony 4K from a 1080p LG tv. (Reason: HDMI ports in LG tv suddenly quit working. It was a known problem and LG wouldn't do much about it.) I've had the Sony 4K 810c 55'' for around a month now and I have no complaints. This Smart TV is GREAT! Fresh out of the box the picture settings are very nice. You may need to do some minor adjustments depending on your personal preference. Picture quality is great. Upscaler is great. No lag or "soap opera effect", 4K content for images and videos is super clear. Brightness is great. Video games are great. The sound is good. Side view is good but not as good as an IPS display. Not a problem for me as I'd still watch movies on this TV from the side with no complaints. WiFi works great. We watch a LOT of Netflix with no load times(50-100mbps internet) even with several other devices connected to WiFi at the same time. Sony has released several updates that I know of which is great that they still care about this product and their customers. The bonus with this TV is that it has Android with around 16GB of storage for apps n such. You can even connect a PS4 controller to the TV and play android games that you download from the Google Play store. Play games, music and more. This TV has it all. In a way it feels like a computer without a browser. I'm glad I found it. I will update if I run into any issues.

I wanted to step up to something larger. So, about a month ago I went shopping. I have been using a 42 inch and this is 55 inch. This thing is amazing! Sony just seems to produce the best picture quality out there. I hooked this up to a new Pioneer Elite receiver and could not be more pleased. The picture is simply amazing!

Hi, all is Ok with the TV. The resolution is awesome and it's so easy to use the tv. I have 2 question, does this TV have a web browser? can I share youtube' s videos from my smartphone?, because I can't find how to do those 2 things.

So far I have had no issues with this tv. Very good picture. Sound ok through the tv but I mainly use an av receiver.

The TV seems to be working really fabulous for me now. Although I have had it for less than 24 hrs, I still am loving it. Got a PS4 as a bundle, so looking forward for a fun weekend. Although I am dissapointed with the fact that the customer sales rep, said the tv remote is a touch remote with a mic, the remote I got with the TV is a pretty regular one. And the response on that is pretty slow.

I'm moving away from Samsung phones, etc. This Sony TV is high quality. And the delivery service that Best Buy provides is outstanding. Delivery went smooth and on time with great communication. The delivery crew even installed the stand.

Ive had this TV for about a week now and enjoy it. I love all of the Android features, that was one of the main things that influenced my purchase. I am still trying to get all my settings and colors right and figure out the best settings for what content but other than the the TV is performing very well. The setup was very easy.

I bought this tv the day before Black Friday, wasn't too sold on those Tvs that were being advertised. This tv is really good, sound quality isn't the best but a soundbar can help this. Playing ps4 is good, as well as watching sports. Even the non HD channels look good on this TV. Worth every cent.

This TV has it all and some! I did a lot of research and everything kept pointing to this TV . XBOX ONE looks ah-mazing and Directv no different . Never thought I could own a Sony with these features at this price ! Must buy !

Great picture quality, This TV excels in all areas: movies, tv, gaming, and especially as a PC monitor. The Android TV OS is pretty good as well. Very happy with my purchase.

First off--great picture and I like the Android TV. If I could access those functions easily, this would be 5 stars. BUT, I cannot use the functionality because my sound bar blocks the IR receptor in a table top set up. I was told by BB to go buy an IR extender (which curiously, they do not sell in store...), and I did go out and buy the one suggested by my salesperson. There are a couple of ports on the side/back of TV: IR IN and Serial Control. Wasn't sure which to use, so I emailed Sony. They couldn't seem to help, and kept emailing me back the manual (which didn't explain). Finally, on about the fifth try, someone at Sony walked me through how to engage this port in the Settings Menu. (Evidently, it isn't just plug and play...) One problem...the Setting sub menu they told me to go to didn't exist! I then responded with that comment, and had three more rounds of getting the manual sent to me! Enough is enough. What is the point of a smart TV if you cannot access the functions due to placement of the IR sensor! So 5 stars for picture, 1 star for not being able to use with a sound bar and negative 2 stars for customer service. End result is, it isn't worth keeping due to lack of functionality for my set up--and certainly not worth keeping if this is a demonstration of customer service by Sony.

For the money, this tv can't be beat. The picture is great, and the sound is pretty good too. When doing initial setup, you will need to update, but it doesn't take too long. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great picture. 55 inch takes up about same or less room than my 8 year old Sony 46 inch. Glad I went with a larger size. Like other reviewers stated, the sound is not great and the stand is flimsy. I have a sound bar so sound problem solved. Over all a great TV and easy to use.

This SONY TV is great would buy it again. The picture is fantastic but we might be adding the sound bar since it seems we can't hook up our speakers to the TV may have to call to get some help. But this TV is great so far, we got it in the beginning of December.

After exhaustive reviews both here and on the internet I pulled the trigger on this purchase about a week ago. After the required firm-ware update I noticed that the zoom mode setting randomly displays in the lower left-hand corner. I moved the HDMI cable from my Directv Genie from port1 to port2 and the problem persists. Thinking that I have a faulty remote control and that is what is forcing the tv to display the zoom mode setting I removed the batteries and still the same issue. Not sure if I had a defective product, I went back to my local BestBuy and after a few minutes in-front of the display model with the sales representative the zoom mode displayed as I had seen on the one at my home. The sales representative asked if I had the television in a 'retail mode' even though I confirmed with them that the source for their in-store displays was a flash-drive type of source. I really want to love this television but with this annoying issue, a loss of picture quality at even slight viewing angle and very poor in-unit speaker sound I'm not sure it will be with me for long. Any other owner seeing this?
