Decided it was too large for my home and returned. Based on what I have read it was a very highly regarded unit.

This is a great TV. One of my favorite things about the TV is its design, it is extremely sleek and has an ingenious cable management system. The back of the TV is a grayish plastic with texturing and great details, and all of the ports are hidden behind plastic covers to conceal wiring. The sound quality is better than many of the competing models, and picture quality is impressive. Colors pop and motion blur is nonexistent. One gripe I have with the TV is that the power supply is not internal, but that is relatively common these days. The power brick is shockingly large, and I have the 55" model. I think on the larger models it is, in fact, integrated. I am always impressed by how fast the tv boots up. My older Sony model took probably a minute to initialize before you could switch inputs and open Netflix; this model, however, is ready instantaneously. I would definitely buy this TV again, despite its high price.

I like this tv but the only problem is that you need to treat it like a newborn Baby, because if you just tuch the screen, it will get destroyed, the screen gets crazy.

I usually don't take the time to write these but here goes. Needed a new TV as my old Samsung 650 was starting to show weird lines on the display. Decided on the Samsung mu8000. Got it home and set it up but the color was not as vibrant as my earlier Samsung. I will say this, Samsung set up with their new remote is incredibly well done. It instantly recognizes your cable box, apple TV, DVD player.. Samsung really knocked it out of the park with the initial set up. Amazing. Unfortunately as I stated earlier, the color and picture of that set (IMO) just didn't compare to what I was used to so I returned it and went with the Sony X930E. What a difference.. It was also double the price but for me, totally worth it. The color and clarity of the picture is pretty amazing. I also purchased a Bose 300 Soundbar for the sound.. The sound coming from the set is pretty good but I still wanted a little more sound. The Bose unit puts out the quality of warm rich sound that Bose is known for. The instructions to get the Bose Sound paired with the Sony TV really could be better. Make sure you update all the software on both pieces of equipment- additionally, there was some reports of the soundbar having issues utilizing the HDMI arc hookups on these- I used the optical wire connection which gave me sound but I couldnt get my Sony remote to control the volume of the TV and soundbar at the same time. There is a note in the Sony TV menu that you need to use BOTH the optical hook up and the Hdmi hookup to get the remote to actuate the sound. I believe there was another setting in the TV as well that I changed that may have also helped pair the Soundbar to the TV. I also set my iphone up with the Bose App so I can bluetooth the Pandora on my phone to the Soundbar. Its totally cool. What I found strange was after I shut my phone down, I couldn't get the sound to come back on in the soundbar. After much time I finally realized that you must get out of the bluetooth mode of your phone and go back to the TV Mode.. you can do this by simply pressing the TV incon on the Bose remote and presto.. the sound is back on and controllable with the Sony remote. Another note is that the apple tv remote will also control the volume of the sound bar once you have the initial setup complete. Not an expert here and Im sure there may be a few laughs from the folks who set these up all the time, but just a few observations. Once you get this going, you wont look back :)

I have had this TV when it first came out. The picture quality is as great as an OLED. The TV blacks are perfect without any blooming. Scary movies still scare me, but at least I'm able to see what is coming out in the background

Thought this would be an upgrade from my Vizio, but I'm not impressed. I now have to constantly unplug and reboot to sync the video and audio. Needs a way to manually sync setting.

I got this TV to go with my Xbox & watch movies & the pictures were really nice & the TVs a clean design. It's really bright but the blacks weren't great & can't see that clear when viewing from the side. It also glares when viewing when the suns out. I dislike how heavy it was & having a power brick as the power supply. The features on it are buggy & can't connect apple devices to it.
