We went to Best Buy to look at the Samsung 8000 series and the Sony 900e. While we were there the staff was great to help us and educate us on the Tv's. My husband then saw the Sony 930 and the picture quality and color was so much better and there was no motion issues that I saw on the 900. Well worrh the increase in price. We got it home, easy to set up. If you have a dish hopper and you are upgrading to 4K then you will need a new Joey. Dish came out and programmed the tv as well. Great experience!

Standard definition and 4K picture quality is simply amazing. Sound quality is also great that I have held off purchasing a sound bar. You won’t regret this purchase.

Sony quality picture is excellent and sound volume is good enough that you don’t need a sound bar. For the price of a X900 it would be hard to find anything better.

Even though I've been a long time Sony fan, I bought the LG OLED C8 becaue of all the great reviews I read. After a couple of weeks of tweaking the LG, I was never satisfied when watching regular tv. So I returned it and bought this Sony. This is a great tv no matter what you are watching. Regular HD tv, 4k UHD discs, 4k Netflix all looked amazing. I plan on keeping this for a couple of years until OLED becomes the norm. For now I would highly recommend this one.

This is a top of the line TV and, in my opinion, was the best deal for the money. The features and the upgradability was a factor in my choosing this model.

I went into Best Buy to buy a Vizio P- series TV originally but was talked into looking at the Sony 900F model on display and I knew generally speaking the 930E was an almost exact match and $100 cheaper than the newer 900F model so I had the very helpful associate order me one, and am glad I did. The local dimming and overall color and clarity on this model is excellent. It has great motion and grey uniformity giving a very clean and crisp look to fast moving objects no real dirty screen effect ( great for sports and movies.) The setup is easy but you can get in -depth with the calibration controls and really dial the picture into a near perfect display as the options they give you for this are great, but you don't need to in order to see a great picture, just more good options to have. The Android OS is a bit sluggish but nothing to cry about or degrade from the overall experience this set offers. Even the back of this TV is nice to look at, and dust repellant, with a coursed grooved greyish surface and removable panels to hide all wires, very nice overall appearance. I'm not a brand loyal person having tried Lg, Samsung, Sharp, Panasonic, and Vizio in the past, Sony has impressed me with this model though, I hope to enjoy it until 8k sets are more readily available for consumers in 5 years or so.

I originally had a Sony x850d and as much as I love that TV, I was captivated instantly by the x930e. The TV has been nothing short of spectacular. Everything that the 850 could do the 930 does and even better. The colors look more natural and the viewing experience is second to none even though it isn't an OLED tv. I highly recommend this tv to anybody in the market for a new TV and the price is well worth it.

This TV has awesome picture, especially when watching 4k content on Netflix, it automatically adjusts to the light in the room so that the picture does not become too bright or too dim. The sound quality is good and fills the whole room without stressing. You can set up the TV with your google account and access information by talking into the remote. The interface on this TV is very smooth. I would recommend this TV to anyone, unless you can afford the OLED version.

Love this new 55" Sony TV. Has everything that we wanted and more. Beautiful picture, colors and sound. I would recommend this TV to anyone wanting a great TV. The Best Buy sales person was very helpful. He processed our purchase in the TV Dept,, and kept us from having to wait in a line at checkout up front of store. Also told us about saving money by opening a Best Buy Visa, which we did.

Makes HD cable look fantastic and action/sports are smooth. Was happy with good HD but this set blows it away. Glad I waited for this technology.

Off-angle suffers with this VA panel but incredible contrast is the panel's benefit. The brightness is beyond anything you've seen anywhere so HDR is at its best unlike the dim OLEDs. Color gamut is much wider too. You can see all this in a superior picture when sitting close to dead on. The upscaling of 1080P makes my HD library almost 4K and at times HDR-like. Nothing else I've seen and played with even approaches this upscaling. BUY IT.

Beautiful bright TV with great sound for a flat screen. That is what makes it so heavy. The viewing angle is horrible however and is difficult not to obsess over due to the price. Straight on view is amazing.

Great TV, but had some issues setting up HDR though. Had to go on YouTube to set it up. Also, the TV is heavy, assemble by yourself.

I had my choice down to 3 the lg b7 oled the Sony x900 e and the sonyx930e all of these tvs looked good I noticed the 900 didn't get as bright as the 930e so I then compared the 930e with oled and when it came down to it the 930e is one of the brightest tvs I have ever seen also picked up the Sony 4k bluray player and picture quality is amazing.

Was in the market for an oled, but when I saw that this 2017 model was still available and at the price it was selling for... No brainer! Clear picture with deep blacks. Best Sony tv, even better than the 2018 models. Having alexa built in makes it easy to pair with my echo. Only drawback is the weight and menu path. Very heavy and Sony's menu is convoluted and slower compared to LG and Samsung.

Sony has bounced back big the last couple of years and this set is the shining example. Very bright and excellent resoulution, blacks not as good as the OLED's but also no burn-in issues with the Sony and much brighter which is a plus for HDR. Motion handling and upconversion are also top notch, just a great set overall.

Very solid TV. Heavy too. Won't tip over with stand. Clean and simple setup. Best TV out there in this price range. I'd buy it again. Colorful and vivid colors, blacks are truly black.
